Short answer: It's a combination of both. We developed the rules based around a set and forget scenario, once final teams were named Friday. At no time has there been a discussion around subs being replaced. It's just the luck of the draw, much like injuries.
Thanks. I’m not sure when it started - maybe it was part of the rolling lockout with byes/Monday games etc? - but if you’re not keen on it that’s fine.

Good to clarify, owner beware it is!

It might be good to revisit the way the starting subs affect sides post season in the rule changes as previously we didn’t have five named on the bench before lockout with the 23rd man / sub determined after lockout…

Something like “starting subs” are replaced by emergencies, unless the side would cop a donut, might be helpful to ensure sides can stay set and forget at lockout without stressing about sub risk players.

Finishing subs are just unlucky, like injured players so can’t do anything about them.

NO TEAM ENTERED

Stupid rules we shouldn't have to have

Failure to enter a team before the commencement of the Friday Night game results in a team not be eligible to receive points for the round. So that percentage is not skewed, and thus providing a disadvantage to all teams not involved in that game, the team from the previous round as selected will be entered for this purpose. Their score will be limited to 1 point less than the opposition for ladder integrity.

Other penalties, such as, loss of draft picks, salary cap fines, removal from finals, etc may also be imposed on teams.

Round 15 - Creme De La Creme

Ouch.

Funnily enough CDLC still has a far superior percentage to me, even after this rule is applied!
