Updates ? TDF and Olympics.

Vuelta starts on Sturday too
Thanks @tso.

I'm planning on updating all my competitions over this week, was just too tired last night to update any. There's a lot to update here and been a bit slack on it, spent too many nights watching the Olympics instead. I'll get it done before the Vuelta starts.

As mentioned, the Vuelta does start this weekend, and it is a good reminder to get your selections in. 6 riders, no restrictions, as per all grand tours. Bit harder to pick compared to the Tour. Good luck.

Quite interesting name in the start list - Nicolas Vinokurov, Astana. Anyone know if this is a son of Vinko (Alexandr Vinokurov)?

Still waiting on one entry for the Vuelta, which starts tonight. I'll reveal my picks (I have already selected but don't want to influence others) once that comes through, along with everyone else's entry prior to the start. I'm planning on updating all previous results tonight as well.

Apologies for the delays, I unfortunately have a lot on lately.

Tour de France Overall Results:

Quite a high scoring event, and would have been even higher with a few less DNF's.

Overall Standings:

Only minor positional changes after that event. The point gaps may seem large at this stage, but there's a lot of points to come over the next few events, and they are not the easiest events to pick either. One or two bad selections could open things right up.

Stay tuned for a dashboard update - I will get these done before the end of the Vuelta, and hopefully much sooner. Both AFL comps I run finish up next weekend, so I'll have more free time for this competition once the AFL home and away season is over. These dashboards will look a lot different to the last version, there's a lot of changes for most of you.

Bonaparte takes the overall lead after Groves wins Stage 2. Van Aert was 2nd.

Probably should have selected Groves myself, he is the best sprinter here, and there are probably enough flatter stages for him to make enough points to be worth a selection, especially with most of the climbing towards the back end of the race. Bit surprised only one person picked him.

Yeah I was torn on Groves... looks like early 3 stages for the sprinters (2, 3 and 5) and then not much until the back end. Probably should have picked him too, but in the end went with an extra GC guy.

Well, Wout did beat him in Stage 3, probably as it was a bit uphill. Still scored 300 pts across the last two stages for a 1st and 2nd, but as noted, there's not a heap of opportunities still to come. Will almost surely outscore some of the GC riders, but not sure which ones yet. :)
