I benched the Jets DST after recent scores of: 4, -6, 4 , 16 and 12.
Given Houston is missing not just Collins but Diggs it was probably a bad move - but I got fed up with the Jets.
They were giving up points and not getting sacks.
Of course they limit the Houston scoring - to their 2nd lowest score of the year - and manage 8 sacks.
They had only managed 21 sacks in their previous 8 games and 7 of those came in their 1st game against NE. In their 2nd against NE last week they only managed 1 sack.
And Stroud had only been sacked 22 times in his previous 8 games with a high of 4.
So I didn't think it was that bad a move.

Another week where my bench out-scores my on-field?

At least that Houston-Jets game has this catch as a highlight. It was a horrible game to watch especially that first half. Probably the worst half of NFL I have watched this season. No score until 3 minutes to go in the first half.

So how bad were the Jets in that first 30 minutes? Horrific. Their offence has all the connectivity of a Cloudflare update gone bad. Corely? Drops the ball deliberately as part of a touchdown celebration before he crosses the touchdown line resulting in a touchback. I know he is a rookie but really? That kind of mistake that leaves a permanent mental scar. Celebrating too soon will be called a Corley now. Missed field goals, penalties on 4th down (Jets turned a Houston punt on fourth down into a 15 gain plus first down), dropped catches and injuries just the cream on the cake.

At that point of the game there was no connection at between Adams and Rogers. You would have a better chance of getting a connection to Vladimir Putin calling from the Gibson Desert on a 3G Blackberry. Only semblance of how to play NFL was Mixon. No wonder the Jets fans were booing their team from midway through the first quarter. Second half was much better and Rodgers finally hit up Adams and of course the Wilson catch.

I couldn't hear it over the commentary but the commentators mentioned it. And plenty of these guys

You already proved your point and I am 100% with you... no need to rub it in any further for them Jet fans... I am sure they know the problem hasn't suddenly disappeared.... I just don't like how Rodgers handled the whole thing and pretends to be innocent... that what is piffing me off:mad:

Did not intend to rub it in. Have nothing against the Jets but was more about the game. I think you are right with Rodgers. The experiment has not worked as well as they had hoped so far and I suspect he is a polarising figure that is not helping the situation.

It feels a bit strange raising this issue but:
are we all sure Mahones is still Mahones?
Sure, the game plan of short passes doesn't play to his strengths but, even so, his stat.s are terrible.
He has 8 TDs v 9 Int. - in 8 games!
You'd think that short passing would mitigate against interceptions.

Having said that, he should be good this week.
He's at home to TB - the easiest oppositon for QBs this year.
