Good to see Victoria make the Global Super League final. TBC who they play in a few hours time.
It does remind me a bit of the Simpsons softball episode where they bring in a bunch of ring ins to play though, hopefully this doesn't go the same way, with them all suffering various misfortunes before the final.

CricBuzz saying they need 7 local players , Victoria have been fielding 5 (I guess Edwards could count as the 6th) so not sure why they don't need 7 as well 🤔

I guess it depends on whether you value storing 2-4 decent priced scorchers/strikers in your squad ready for rd2 or having short from the beginning.
Assuming I start with my current draft, I’d be somewhat upset if Short finds a way to go up in price.

Might be worth looking at a couple slightly cheaper rd 3 options to stash that will help with that bank balance available before trades in rd2. Looking at 1 heat player currently who may benefit without the test players.
Thinking that triple double game round is going to be throw out the most spanners, so planning for it will be vital.

If Maxwell misses Round 1 we might need to factor getting him back in for Round 3 plus possibly Duckett , let alone all the BH/SS premiums (need clarification on Hosein's arrival date & Neser's injury as well)
No idea what they will do with Webster by then (not sure he gets released for Round 1) , thankfully the Stars play the opening game of BBL.
Fingers crossed teams go back to announcing 13 man Squads the day before games to.give us some indication of what is happening and not the entire Squad like they have been doing the past 2 seasons.
Don't forget the HS site will probably crash before Game 1 😅

Possible that they get away with it because they have two USA players that count as minnow country players rather than from one of the test playing nations.
Remember hearing something like that for the WBBL when they said the Bryce sisters weren’t counting as internationals because they played for Scotland.

No idea to be honest , I am sure I read earlier that they had to play 5 local players (which Victoria have been doing) + Edwards (who counts as dual).

This is my current team assuming Maxwell & Hardie don’t get up for round one.
Just wanted to see if there’s any issues that are glaringly obvious etc.
Pretty happy to pay up for Short & Overton if the Maxwell/Hardie don’t get up.
Is 5 renegades players too many to start with considering they’ve got a round 3 bye?

I can’t knock it as it is very similar to how my structure currently sits.
I am not as concerned as @Shaunpro1 about three bowlers from one team if they are on the double, so hopefully getting eight overs each and 20 wickets up for grabs.
The main concern with three Renegades bowlers is due to the R3 bye, however given one is Sutherland, you can easily switch between lines to help in R3.
Maybe overall, see if you can switch one of your Renegades to a Star to give a bit more trade breathing space before R3.

Keep an eye out on Fabian Allen’s availability. From memory the series WI play ends the day before Strikers’ first game of round 2. Might be touch and go as to whether he plays that one.
