Just gotta remind myself of all the decisions I got right and not stew on the two I got wrong...

Connolly in particular is such a big miss but I'd do it again. No cricket in a month coming off a broken hand, impending role reduction when Hardie comes back, burned at an even better role and price point last year... even predicted the rest of the top four folding around him. Didn't see that coming at all, but god he looked clean.

Another question re the flex position, if you have a double game player in the flex and the lowest scorer onfield is a single game player, do you only get the 1 score?

Edit- Finn Allen scored 6. I have Sutherland as my flex, might change that.

It doesn’t matter who is in your Flex position. Best XI counts. If your Cx2 is your twelfth score, he doesn’t count.

Interesting Pope (and Scott) were the only 2 Squad members who played Grade cricket on the weekend.

Final 2 spots out of Bazley , Buckingham , Doggett (if released) , Pope , Scott or they play a extra bat (Kelly or Ross)

Hopefully they announce a 14 man Squad to eliminate a few

Not taking the emergency scores of Tye (34) or Harper (11+ game to play).

Richardson, Connolly and Curran all excellent with tons. Behrendorff also very good, a maiden! Stoinis with a what could’ve been score, as usual for him. McKenzie bowled alright, just got on the receiving end of a couple of release shots from Connolly and Hobson’s finishing touches.

After team sheets and other news I went Webster down to Harper, Hassan Khan to Behrendorff, and Overton up to Short. Didn’t love the Harper pick whatsoever but had to take a punt batting 3 at 58k and with Peirson to swing back to WK1 if required.

Very happy with the start. Looking at 6 doubles this round, would’ve been 7 if Harper was taken. Every chance something pops up between now and the Renegades game causing a restructure.

Very disappointed with Webster’s role. Hopefully he bats higher in the second game. Be nice if he also rolled his arm over but doesn’t sound like that’s going to happen.

Not taking Agars E score or Harpers (non E) score as I put him on the bench but forgot to put the E on him 😂

Early days but some good scores out there already.

Cheers mate, I just had another look at my team…

I have Harper (E) in WK spot, is it worth trading Edwards to Phillipe and forgo Harper’s score and then switch Doran into BAT to take Cooper’s score and Curran’s VC? Allows me to keep Konstas on the bench.

I have pretty much done exactly this - except that I gather Doran is some chance to play, so I went looking for another donut, and found Shaw … who also has a better donut draw.

Really regretting leaving out Jhye now but as they always say “you win some and sometimes you don’t win some” or whatever…

Was playing golf yesterday arvo so missed the team selections which meant I left the VC on Webster but also means I didn’t trade in Harper last minute which I possibly would’ve given he was first in line with the bat

Have five renegades to pick my captain from currently: Seifert, Sutherland, Rogers, O’Neill & Zampa

Considering how poorly Beau scored with no overs, I think captaining Sutherland can be taking out of the equation (unless he confirms he’ll be bowling tonight).

Seifert would be relying too much on the bat & against a strong Sixers bowling attack so his not being considered.

Leaves Rogers, O’Neill & Zampa as my options… Rogers feels like the safest option whereas O’Neill feels like slightly more of a high risk/reward option…

Just warning everyone that I’ve tentatively put the C on Rogers so I’d be avoiding him at all costs

Looked good once he got past 8-10 balls, but the worry with him at the top of the order is that he will nick off quick as his technique leaves a bit to be desired. Played and missed at a few looking ordinary before that 6 over cover point got him going.

It could’ve been 30-40 points less as well had Cartwright been right on the boundary off McKenzie as well. Sliding doors moment that one for both players as I thought McKenzie was bowling alright at that point.

3/506. Having the three tons including VC ensures a good start for me.

2 scorchers bowlers seems like it was the right call, I just put the wrong one on field.

Need to drop either Chief or Edwards to loop, got some thinking to do there.

Unfortunate that Pope isn’t here slightly earlier, but it is what it is. 🙃

I’m just short on Doggett and Phillipe - Not convinced we get Doggett for just Round 2 though.
