Hi Rowsus. I asked this in the trades thread but thought I'd post here too:

So I broke 1800 this week and moved up the rankings to 1,026. Thinking I should trade aggressively. I have $437K and 20 trades. Thinking:

Mitchell > Bartel
Cunningham > SJ*
Robertson > Acres

Leaves me with $179K which allows a Tyson to Selwood trade next week with change.

*SJ is priced quite high. Is there anyone from the round 8 bye I should look at getting? Or should I hold Cunningham and reassess next week, thus risking a small price drop?

EDIT - if I go Swan instead of SJ that gives me $247K. Thinking ahead to round 11 I could go Langford to Hanley which completes my defence, and JKH to NRoo which almost completes my forwards with Higgins at F6. That would leave Polec and another rookie in the mids to upgrade to give me a complete team.

The other option is Cotchin to save some more pennies

Hi Row,

Firstly kudos on your weekly score..very impressive and well deserved.

My question for the day:

I will be getting both Watson and Rockliff. Probably one this week and one in round 11. I assume getting both a week before their bye is a bad decision even though they have a low breakeven?

Do you have an opinion on which player is best to bring in this week?

Thanks!

I am also ranked 1026. Not sure what is going on there!?

If multiple teams have the exact same scored you all get ranked the same number. There are actually 7 teams ranked 1026. One point behind you guys there are 6 teams ranked 1033.

Hi Row!
I've got Sam Mitchell and he's got to go this week for sure. Bartel and Swallow were always in my plans en route to completing my defense.
Questions is, who do I got for this round? Bartel or Swallow as priority?
I know Bartel is slightly overpriced but so is Swallow I would assume? And from memory, Swallow scored only 80 before his bye due to Bennell back in the squad?
Want to know your opinion on this, cheers!
Hi MMM,
we always knew there was a possibility for Bennell's return to impact Swallow. Unfortunately, we have only one games evidence so far to judge it on.
Swallow is currently priced to score 101, and Bartel 106. Given their draws, history and the question mark on Swallow, I think I'd rather take Bartel.
Good luck :)

I think it's been asked but wouldn't mind thoughts/analysis on bringing in Bartel this week. Especially in comparison to Enright. Cheers.
Both will appear in thie weeks Trade Tables threads, which will concentrate solely on round 8 players.

What is Swan currently priced at to score Rowsus? Think he can easily score 110-115 from here. Possibly even more. At his price I would still consider that value.
LOL, looks like you are spot on, because Swan is priced to score 113!

Thanks Row! I can always upgrade Suckling to Swallow later in the season :D

Well done on breaking 1800 this week, and it wasn't it a nice surprise how good that turned out to be for Rankings?! :D
I'm assuming with all these proposed trades you have checked your bye numbers, and you have at least 19 players lined up for each round. so I won't tackle that.
SJ's an interesting one. He's priced to score 127, and he loves beating up on weaker teams. Normally you'd think 127 was beyond him, but with Geelong's draw it's not out of the question! Swan is priced to score 113. I think given Swan is more likely to outscore his price than SJ, and it also facilitates better/faster upgrades, I'd go Swan. Definitely Swan in front of Cotchin. We mustn't get seduced by Cotchin's next 2 games. Yes, he should be 120+ the next 2, but then he will probably fall back to his 105-110 level again.

Hi Mike,
thanks for that, I definitely needed a good score! :p
It's ok to take 2 round 10 bye players before their byes, but not many teams can manage it, AND avoid a donut somewhere.
If I had to take one this week, knowing I was getting the other next week/week after, I'd take Rocky, as I expect him to score higher this week.
Good luck :)

Brent Harvey what do you think of him? Had the bye so helps next two weeks and should ave about 95 for the year.

He's priced to 97, and I can see him potentially scoring that. I think Swallow coming back will only help him, as it draws a bit of attention from him, and North's draw is good. Could be a good POD.

Hey Rowsus, what are your thoughts on Goddard?

Priced at 93pts/465K, averaging 98.50pts, though taking out his 11 in round 4 he his averaging 118pts.

Tossing up between him and getting a forward such as Harvey.

Hey Row, wondering what to do for my last trade this week. I've already gone Robertson to Acres and Polec to Petrie.

I'm either going to go Laidler to Tippet or Laidler to H Taylor.

If I don't get Taylor this week I'll likely get him next week but will need to trade Langdon/Langford too early to do it. Wondering what your thoughts are?

Hi Rowsus, my first post in this thread.

Knowing that you will be creating Rnd 8 trade tables, would you perhaps comment on whether Swan at his price this week is better value for the rest of the season than Pendles at his price next week given his higher BE.

Love your work!
