2/515 (Curran)

Curran (c), M Short, Overton, Stoinis, McKenzie, Brown, Rogers, Zampa and O’Neill to come.

Hoping that M Short and Overton can score well in their single game to match those with the likes of Connolly, Dorff, Edwards and Abbott.

Need a huge lift from most of the Melbourne players I own in their 2nd matches of the round.

3/672 Curran vc taken 12SI, O'Neill my flex covering Finn Allen's 6.

Disappointed I missed Zampa 😜 but I do have Siddle, McKenzie and Rogers (Stars) 🙄
Overton, Allen on the bench with about $127k awaiting upgrades.

Mitch Owen has been talked to by many more qualified than me , talk that is between him and Jewell to open

@Damion23 is the man on the money re the Hurricanes
Don't know if it's already been said
But he did fire tonight opening the batting scoring 76 off 43 balls and bowled 0/34 (4)

Think the big note is they played the intra club match on Ninja stadium (Hobart) where they play Saturday against Scorchers and first team made 3/190 off 20 and the 2nd team made 3/205 off 20 ... Could be a high scoring game 😉 well at least I'm hoping for Finn Allen 😅

Nice start doubles partner!

2/502 Curran, not taking Harper

(Harper E)
Webster, Curran VC, Stoinis, (Connolly E)
Milne, McKenzie, (Richardson E)
2/645 Curran (12 SI)

Seifert, (Harper E)
Webster, Curran VC, Stoinis, (Connolly E)
Hosein C, Rogers, Milne, Zampa, McKenzie, (Richardson E)
O'Neill

Landed on Hosein as my playing loop, don't overly like it as it pretty much locks me out from having any chance of bringing Short in next week though. I would've gone Johnson but got scared off from the toe injury, would be terrible if he didn't make it to the double, was rested for one of the games or the injury flared up again.

Was a pretty ordinary night for my team other than Seifert. Annoying Sutherland had to have a moon game even with an ordinary role but is what it is. I'll never understand why Zampa is continuously bowled in the surge, thought that was over after moving from the Stars. I'm also a bit worried O'Neill doesn't make it to the second game, can see Sandhu coming in for him as a bit of a like-for-like.

Got some thinking to as to who to actually trade out in Round 2

Philippe

Webster *
Curran *
Sutherland *
Stoinis *
Turner - DGR

Tye - DGR
Edwards *
J Richardson - DGR
Boyce - DGR
Thornton - DGR

Abbott

Bench will be :-

Harper
Doran , Wildermuth *
McKenzie , Zampa

Round 2 Targets

AS - Allen , Doggett (?) , Overton , Short
PS - Connolly , Inglis (?)

Might need to be Webster , Stoinis & Sutherland or just throw the WK spot and trade out Philippe

Few days to think things through

3/778 Curran

Game 1: 2/472; JRicho, Curran (v will take), Connolly (e will take), Stoinis, Webster, McKenzie.
Game 2: 1/306; Chief, Seifert, Edwards, Rogers, Zampa, Shaw (🍩)

Zampa’s 8 would currently drop out but he has a game to go.

Would have had Khan over Chief if there weren’t doubts about him playing the second.

Chugging along nicely.

Which ways do I go with this do I try for no player and get Connolly score and get Richardson next Tim around and I have 64.900k left over

Just gone back to have a look

MR - Fraser-McGurk , Hassan Khan , Seifert , Zampa

MS - Curran , McKenzie , Stoinis , Webster

So 8 DGR players for Round 1 ✓

AS - Short , Thornton
PS - Behrendorff , Connolly , Jennings

So 5 Round 2 DGR players ✓

Konstas & Renshaw as cash cows (personally would swap Renshaw to Wildermuth if he takes Neser's spot)

Doran & Salzmann as donuts ✓

It is actually not a bad starting side

So now start thinking about who you can trade out for Round 2 and bring in

If Webster is not bowling I would trade him out , Fraser-McGurk with a Bye in Round 3 and Hassan Khan (Bethell taking his spot)

Trade in options (depending on cash)

AS eg Allen , Boyce , Doggett , Overton
PS Richardson , you might need a cheap Bat like Hobson/Turner

Try not to get caught up in what others are doing (hard to do sometimes) as like I said before they might just play Round by Round while others will have Trade plans for 2-3 rounds in advance but take notice of how/what people do (we can all learn different things)

Round 3 then look to trade out your PS players (maybe even Short) if you need 💰 for BH/SS

BH eg Bartlett , Johnson (if fit) , Munro , Walter

SS eg Abbott , Dwarshuis , Edwards , Hosein

If Maxwell is back playing and bowling he might be a must have for Round 3

If you need to trade out Seifert track the scores of Alsop , Peirson & Philippe

Round 4 you might need to bring back Short + AS/MR

@Tails has a fantastic thread where after each game he has new price projections and BE's look at that to see which premiums are falling in price and may be of value in future rounds

Above all , try and have fun with it.

Once you make a decision , own it

No use looking back saying I wish I got Player X now instead of Player Y

Good luck

Rowsus: 5/844 (Sutherland) 13 SI = 65/SI

Wife: 3/528 (Stoinis) 11 SI = 48/SI
Is it possible to have 13 SI so far? Wouldn't only 12 count towards your score? Which would make your score even better.

Looks like you're on track for the bragging rights this week in any case.

Would have scored higher had I just went with my 6-7 double draft, lot of rubbish from the Gades and Stars that have sucked us in again, hopefully improves with another game to go.

Sutherland 99
Edwards 75
Rogers 39
Zampa 8

Sutherland awesome. Role doesn’t look great, didn’t bowl until the 12th, but he made the most of it. May get better on a more pace friendly pitch? Edwards a near perfect role. Will be interesting to see how they replace Hughes. I’m expecting Patterson to slot into number 3 and Edwards to go back to 6, but hoping Edwards stays at 3 obviously. Rogers respectable. Zampa with his typical BBL return. Most own him luckily.

With Buckingham not playing I have gone up to Renshaw via Fabian Allen, and downgraded Short to Overton. 77k spare gives me some flexibility and able to get up to Short next round if necessary.

Overton, Peirson, Curran C, Stoinis, McKenzie, Sutherland, Rogers, and Zampa to come. One of McKenzie, Zampa or Peirson likely to be the 12th highest score it appears.
Khan out for Bethell probably gives Sutho more security around overs... I take it Bethell is a part timer at best. Although can't see him batting any higher.

Interesting to see if the Gades go to two spinners (by dropping a quick) or play 4 quicks and Zampa.
