3/271 Allen - Konstas removed :p Have included Weatherald in the 3 down as well.

Well done to all of those who have managed to salvage something from this round.

Had a crack and SC is about fun; often comes down to a bit of luck too. With Connolly, Pope, Weatherald, Allen, and Konstas all < 20 and on field, the luck has gone against me this round.

With Abbott & Konstas likely to not play next round, and maybe Weatherald as well, now, I am going to have some fun for the remainder of this season, unless Mr Allen can bat past the 2nd ball next game. Finished in the top 200 last season, so have achieved something before.

Have 3 MR, plus 3 AS players, might load up on DGR players for Rd 4 and see what I can get.
Why the doom and gloom ?

Tis the season to be jolly

T20 is such a fickle sport , scores fluctuate up and down game by game.

Allen , Connolly , Pope (I assume it's the Ollie version) all with another game to go , could all go 50-75+ and you are back in the game.

It's only Round 2

Was beating myself up about Abbott , Richardson , Tye , Weatherald etc but realised it's out of my control.

React to the news the best way if possible

Can't control players scores once they take the field

New day , new positivity

Wait for Round 2 to conclude , reset with the new information we are given and have a crack at Round 3

Renegades bowlers in R1 is a good example of how quickly things can turn around. Konstas a good example the other way this round.

It is a volatile game and we will all cop hits. There is nothing that we can do other than cop the hit, move on and keep focussing on player roles over names. Players with good roles will get more opportunity to score.

BBL 09 was when Banton last played

16 (7)
64 (36)
7 (10)
8 (5)
56 (19) 😱
17 (17)
55 (32)

Going to be quick fire if he gets going

Big Bash Board has him opening in 136 out of 147 Innings

Prefers to bat @ 1(96 times) and averages + 5.09 compared to batting @ 2.

Now who partners him at the top ? and how do they reshuffle 3-6.

Exactly

Curran in Round 1 with a 100 & 4

I wish people would wait until players on a DGR have actually played both games to see what they score , yes Weatherald (owner) missing his second game sucks

Once we make a decision , just have to own it and hope it works out

No time to dwell

Roles over names

Play the fixture over players

It's all coming back

Looking forward to watching a game on FTA again tonight

Good stats Herbie. Where are you seeing the split by batting position, out of interest?

I use BigBashBoard but haven’t seen it there.

Obviously needing more info ideally, but I can trade Wood to any available bat player at $122k or less - initial thoughts are McSweeney if Pierson doesn’t get the role.

Or I can just run 11 as I’ve had a decent start to the round.

Thoughts?

I'm expecting a $152k price tag like the other internationals, but if he's any cheaper I'll seriously consider boosting Seifert to him in preparation for next round
It's Christmas time , give us all a 🎁

$ 117,500.00 I would almost have him as a lockity lock

Might just be the balancer to afford the likes of Bartlett , Dwarshuis , Hosein , Maxwell etc

I guess explosive batters like him if he gets 20 he is getting Max SR points the majority of times so need a half century in one of the games to push him past the AR/Bowlers scores on a DGR

Obviously like all opening bats he can also quite easily get out for less than 10.

How much cash do you need for your preferred Round 3 trade targets ?

If you have enough already why not bring in another Heat bat eligible player in advance for next round

Heat

Prestwidge (out of the Squad) only bowled 1 v the Stars (conceded 13) so do they replace him with Wildermuth or just go with 5 Bowlers and play 6-5 ?

New coach , players missing but last season they were always 5-6

McSweeney/Renshaw can always "buy" a over or 2 if needed

Might be :-

Banton
Munro
McSweeney
Renshaw
Peirson (WK)
Bryant

Haha! No doom and gloom here. Just a change in mindset to have more fun with this 'fickle game, we love. I ain't no ghost ship, I am just going to have fun and try things left of centre (no politics here)... I tried Allen after failing with Pope and Weatherald. I like to take shots at POD's.

I am not set up for Round 3 very well unfortunately, with Abbott departing. I did originally have Johnson as loophole for Connolly, but then when I didn't put the E on Seifert, I had to pull in Peirson and Wood. So now I have Peirson, Wood, Wildermuth, and Abbott for Round 3, plus Konstas and 3 MR players, so I may as well focus on the MR & AS DGR and load up.

I concur with the above completely, I just knew the reality going into Rd 3. I had been out since about 4 that day and had only just got home and maybe didn't explain my situation properly

Irony in all of this was that I was trying to show a positive mindset. A positive mindset to having a crack at round 4. Words! Always better than actions! :ROFLMAO: Trust me, I am actively engaged and enjoying this ;)

If you brought in Wood this round , you might need to trade adjust as he isn't in the Squad.

Test on Munro though , so maybe that changes

Fingers crossed Allen comes good tomorrow.

If Kerr gets up, I’ve got 4 pre-trades
DGRs next round:

Edwards probably the priority, maybe Walter.

Not afraid to jump off Short and jump back on for R4.
