8/747 Connolly (assuming the Chief passes Jhye)

Trading Short in this round can be seen as a failure given the $45k+ price drop. But I will take 115 points from any trade in! There are also a lot of expensive targets next round, so I am hoping that he can help fund them!

Looking across leagues, many seem tightly bunched so there is a good mix of hits and misses for us all this round. Anyone who reaches 4 figures will have had a great round!

Keep it going @Tails you are on target to get there and solidify your great first round!

I need to make a decision whether to get Renshaw’s 89 score ( I have him as E) by trading Josh Brown out and blowing one of my boosts on a non-player.

Behrendorff 67
Edwards 65
Connolly 19
Tye 🍩

Behrendorff the only Scorcher bowler to actually snag a wicket. Edwards and Connolly both had exceptional roles. Edwards was okay and Connolly didn’t capitalise. Can see a world where Edwards ends up as the highest scorer this year. Wasn’t able to check teams prior to the Scorchers game so I copped a Tye donut. Probably a good game to miss though with how it played out. More than likely would’ve gone down to Turner via DPP so a little annoying, but nothing season defining.

Trading out Richo has worked out okay so far, just have to hope he misses next game.

Lots of low DGR scores so far this round and most of those that have fared well have low ownerships.
7/785 Short

Overton 103 (164)
Short C 53x2 (115x2)
Thornton 50 (106)

Peirson 18 (on field but have assumed his score gets removed)

Renshaw 89 and Bazley 48 (64) on the bench. Lost 6 points taking Harper over Bazley.

Short looks to be a fail so far. Lots of expensive options from the Heat, Sixers, and Stars so his capital may be needed. See how things pan out. Overton was great again. Thornton didn’t bowl well but got a decent score.

Behrendorff, Sutherland, Tye, and Connolly to come.

Probably not worth it considering you can only pick from Renegades who have the bye next week. Boost is probably worth more in the long run over the difference between what Brown scores and an 89.

I suspect it’s not worth it, unless you can somehow extract extra value from the trade (eg by saving cash if Brown was going to plummet, or by getting a great floating donut in for future benefit).

I would value the trade at 55 or greater, and the boost arguably could be worth more.

Yep, I was thinking the same just the 89 was tempting but I guess I will have $$ boost from renshaw score and be able to use him in next DGR

I had #1, 4, 12 and Scratched 😂
1 , 4 , 10 & 12 and Scratched

And he still beat Jhye 😢 , if someone said at the start of the round Jhye was going to be my 12th highest scorer , I would have said thank you for the 💰

Might have some holes quickly appearing for Round 3 , Boost time

8/792 Short (14 SI @ 56.57), Richo dropping out

Bringing Short in this round didn't end up being the end of the world but sort of got bailed out by that last ball. Role was just too good to pass up with Allen going down, had 2 pretty poor games by his standards and still put up a 115. Have to admit though he doesn't look quite himself with his batting.

Overall happy with how the round is going considering I've only got 4 doubles, hopefully make up for it next week with a few guys already stashed away.

I wouldn’t blow a boost to get 89. Switching R3 bye players at the cost of a boost doesn’t really make sense. Brown may or may not reach the score, but even if he gets zero, 89 points won’t define your season.

Just enjoy the cash generation along with saving the boost, which should ultimately make your team stronger in future rounds.
