One half century (71) which was @ Galle

@ Galle Ave 27.86 (4 Tests , 8 Innings , 1 Not Out)

Do they go Head & Konstas though as the alternative ?

Seemed like he went out there to try and score some quick runs... Worked cos Virat push the field back and has benefited the other batters.

Not sure if the selectors instructed him to play ultra aggressive v India because in the shield he plays far more normally - still looking to attack but not reckless.

He is a real talent, type of attacking opener Australia have been looking for post Warner. Would of learnt a lot from the last 2 tests - should be given an extended run in my opinion as we need to inject young talent into this ageing team.

Or play him against the Lions and let him play Shield for the remainder of the season ?

Looked very good with the bat, bowled quite well & is excellent in the field.

Konstas seems keen to play BOTH DGR games haha

Assuming Australia win, I doubt Konstas will be in any state to travel and play tomorrow. Celebrations would go well into the night and tomorrow given it’s the first time we’d have held the BGT trophy for over a decade. Not to mention qualifying for the WTC final.

Would welcome his availability though.

Yep agree - deserves an extended run! He can bowl offies too in SL!

Fantastic test series. Never watched so much cricket from the edge of my seat. It rivals the 2005 Ashes series in England. Nice to come out on top in this one.
