5/626 9SI (didn’t include Bethell’s 3) - assuming, well… hoping(!) we get at least some play tomorrow. So I have those players as “still to play”

Bethell 3 - assumed to be 12th man
Sutherland went berserk. Bittersweet as I gave some thought into captaining him, especially after Green scored a 10 as VC. Instead opted for the extra look before falling back into a Stars/Sixers asset. Rogers with an outstanding contribution from the bat along with good bowling points. That is now my 4th 49 (along with a Stoinis 48) in the space of 5 games, but Rogers doesn’t get the spray due to him being a bowler and missing it due to the game finishing
. Can’t say the time I expected Zampa to do something would be against the Scorchers on a seam friendly Optus pitch. Happy to be proven wrong there. Was tossing up between Allen, Ferguson, and a Hurricane for that 3rd trade in, but when Hurst was dropped from the squad and Allen became the only keeper in the squad, he came in. The dreaded 19 today but the 3 catches to bring his score to a solid 49. Best bowling attack to keep to. Bethell disappointing. Didn’t bowl much on this pitch as expected. No fielding involvements and a poor shot on the last ball of the powerplay led to his downfall.

Sutherland, Zampa & Rogers combined for 3 points less than my whole side scored last week.
Much better than last round so far. Currently 4/643 with Bethells score dropping off. Glad i went Warner over Connolly in as my last trade. Had Bethell looped for the most part between rounds but decided to loop Warner with the worse role in case the 2nd game of his double was washed out. Luckily itll only cost me whatever Seifert scores over my 11th player so 30 points or less. Hoping the game goes ahead tomorrow and Green can manage a score as vc. Got no confidence in Stoinis, Maxwell or Phillipe as captain options.

6/510 Johnson (7 SI @ 72.85), Connolly dropping out
Feels like I’m slightly behind on total score but slightly ahead on average score per involvement. Tomorrow is pretty much make or break with only Jordan in play.
Zampa trade out didn’t quite work, didn’t rate the Optus fixture but doesn’t really matter when you bowl at the tail! Wouldn’t have been able to loop or field so made the most sense to trade. Seifert being the trade in was saved by Zamps bowling effort at least. Needed a keeper and he was the only option I was really considering for the price.

Left out Connelly as 12th scorer, unfortunately looped the wrong Renegade (Bethell on-filed, Sutherland (E)), given all the rain talk for tonight, I benched Jordan for Zampa, so that is a win at this stage.
In theory I have Billings, Stoinis, Dwarshuis, WAgar, Christian and Harper/new player (yet to be determined) with games remaining (weather permitting and selection pending).
Hopefully we get some cricket tonight and WAgar can get something close to a bankable score, other wise I will trade in Maxwell and make him or Stoinis C and hope for the best. If WAgar can get on tonight and even get one wicket to get up around 50 for the weekend, I reckon I will just lock-it in.

Probably a call you can make when you know the team. If Webster and Curran play, I don't like Stoinis' chances of bowling. Maxy batting at 6 is not great for a C option, but if Lawrence doesn't play he'll be more likely to roll the arm over and bat higher.
Of course, they may decide not to automatically start 2 wickets down and change up the top order which could change things up entirely!
