It can vary from year to year.
I believe when @Diabolical won the first time he was a bit over 100 behind, and maybe 10th or 12th ( I could be wrong ) coming into the last Round. Then his POD pulled a 4 for.
I can confirm that I was 11th going into the final round that year and 363 points behind the leader … ended up winning by 23 or 24 points! I think going into the final game of the year there were 5-6 coaches all within 100 points.

The main difference that year was that we were dealing with Covid and they gave us five trades for the final round. We also had three teams on the double that round so I was able to target PODs to make up almost half of my on field team.

Every team being on a single this year should enable a few different trade targets from the chasing pack. Anyone with a boost in hand may find it more than handy!

i’ve given up, 14 year old who was 8th at one point but i’m barely in top thousand, always next year
So there's your target.
Nothing wrong with a top 1,000 finish, and it gives you something to beat next year!
Remember, we started with 56,000 Coaches playing, so top 1,000 is top 2%, and top 2% of anything that big is pretty good!

That means the 23.4% of the top 1% who have still started Jordan are copping a donut (though I guess they can use it to loop tonight if they have a Heat bench or can bring one in). The 1.8% of the top 1% who were stuck with the straight C (and the the 2.9% with the VC) would want to have had good luck with the VC/C option though!
