Took absurd risks in the last round just to try see if an improbable top 10 finish was possible. Had to avoid the inevitable Maxwell super score as was just far too highly owned and captained my most unique (and obviously lowest scoring player) Jordan.

Beautifully worked out in the end though as I finish perfectly at 💯th

Congrats to all those who finished up the very top, and let’s hope the Stars continue their run for 3 more games.

Just had a thought this morning.
The final result is not done and dusted until it's official, they still need to do their checks and balances on all prize winning teams. I know this for a fact as the year I finished 12th on the final rankings but 'officially' finished 11th once all the prize winners were published.

It's a bit of a stretch but here's hoping...

Final round 820 for an overall rank of 410. A bit disappointed as I ended with two red arrows and didn't get the PB I was aiming for, but oh well. I think I have probably learnt more about the appropriate mentality and thought process this season though more than any of other season.

Congratulations to all the three coaches in the top 5!!! Just an incredible effort. And thank you @Miller is a Steele for carrying us in the SCS Bashers League so we could finish with a ranking of 6th.

Congratulations @Miller is a Steele, @All is Wells and @Beast_Mode on your top 5 finishes , outstanding effort by you all! Whilst you may not have got the ultimate prize, it is still an outstanding effort so well done.

Congratulations too to all members that got great results, be they GF wins, PB ranking finishes, well done.

For me I had a pretty good Rd 9 result posting a 1,035, which was about 300 points more than Round 8, so just shows how bad my Round 8 performance was if I scored 300 points more with no DGR players this week.

MVP of the final week was definitely Maxy (C), who was my highest scorer

Final trades were Jordan, Meredith and Bethell -> Maxwell, Owen and Hardie.

Ranking improved from 2,304 at the end of Round 8 to season ending rank of 1,202, which given the stuff-up that was Round 8 (when I was about 900 ish) going into Round 8 only to drop about 1,400 spots, not too bad in the end.

Once again, congratulations to all that had great results .

Finished inside the top 1K overall after a great final round.

Many thanks to all members passing on squad updates/ toss updates/ weather etc - much appreciated.

Congrats to the guns that finished in the top 10, would of been amazing if 1 of you were able to win it but to finish in the top 10 is a terrific achievement (y)

Ended up scoring 870.

A little late to update. Last rounds trades ins were Connolly, Owen & Steketee. Which were probably my best trades all season but a little too late. Overall rank was 1009th overall. My worst rank since my debut year. Can hopefully only improve on that next season.

Although we weren't able to crown an SCS member as the champion. A huge congrats to Miller is a Steele, Beast Mode and All Is Wells. Most people would have probably have killed to be in the positions you three were in. A great achievement to get where you were so please hold your heads high.

Congrats to anyone else who had PB's that I may have missed.

Time for a little break before starting my AFL SC side.

I briefly heard Dwayne Russell on SEN talking about the BBL and he mentioned next year they’ve got a host of new rules they might try and implement.

A specialist batter that doesn’t have to field and bowler that can be brought in like a sub.
12 ball overs if a bowler wants to bowl from the same end.
If a batter has 6 dot balls in a row he’s dismissed.
Double plays so 2 batters can be out in the same ball.

Think there was a few other things mentioned but can’t remember them all. All sound horrible to me.

These all sound gimmicky, and like they would take the BBL rules further away from international T20 rules … which seems unappealing. It’s not April 1 is it?

The quality of cricket this season has generally been quite good, and there have been a lot of close matches.

The ladder was exceptionally close, with even the bottom team in the hunt until the last game or two of the season.

I was just thinking earlier that the fielding also seems to have improved a lot - there is still the odd shocker, but the real village fielding seems to have been largely eliminated in a short period, and there have been probably half a dozen absolutely outstanding catches, as well as a lot of good outfielding on show.

I’m not sure they need to fix it!

Funnily enough he called the whole thing gimmicky several times and mentioned they want to add more gimmicks. Also mentioned that it wasn’t taken very seriously which I find ridiculous, it’s gaining popularity and could be a real spectacle.

Got a few words that I’d use to describe people trying to talk about things they have no business talking about, but it’ll get me banned. Bbl has actually been a lot better to watch this season.

The surge is a bit of a weird phenomenon but it does make it interesting trying to predict when teams will take it. Does place a bit of pressure on the first 4 overs, but it’s at least not as stale as other T/20 leagues that have the 6 PP overs up front.
