Maxi's last catch netted 20 points and the win, amazing
The top 2 shared maxy ownership. Would’ve only been 10 points extra because 1st captained.

I won’t go into what ifs, because that’s not helpful. Fantastic effort from our three SCS coaches in the top ten and the I’m sure several in the top 100 to finish the season.

It may not be kfc prizes, but I’m sure you will treasure them all the same as memories of a wonderful season.

First time in many many years SCS hasn't had the top 2 or 3 Leagues.
We had 3rd to 9th and 12th.

Special shout to MattShortFanClub League.
an 18 team League that finished first in that category.
They finished 10,826 points clear of 2nd!
That's 66.8 per player, per round better than 2nd. amazing!

In the 10 team Leagues SCS finished: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 9th.

Congrats to our three top 5 coaches. Absolutely amazing effort. I’m sure it’s going to feel a bit raw right now getting so close without the win but hold your heads high and enjoy that $5000 @Miller is a Steele and $1000 each @Beast_Mode and @All is Wells

Superb!
I whole heartedly second this comment.
I know it's a bitter pill to swallow right now, but don't let that override the many 'good' things which have unfolded during the course of your season. You did everything humanly possible to safeguard your respective positions, but no one was to know what JFM had installed for the final round let alone a contending team with him straight on-field in the Flex position (if that's not good advertising for the newly introduced position then I don't know what is).
You'll come back bigger and better for the experience.
Once again, congrats on keeping us all enthralled all the way to the final game.

Thanks to everyone for all the information shared on this site over the BBL season. Absolutely rapt with 5th and being 80 points from 1st leaves me answering alot less what if questions. Will be glad to not have to stress about trades, looping and any other decisions until the AFL season starts. Will give myself a few days off until SC AFL opens and then will be right back into the research.

Firstly commiserations to @Miller is a Steele but at the same time congratulations on a great season and same goes to @Beast_Mode and @All is Wells , not to mention the numerous other coaches with great ranks.

Finished with a 921 and up 537 to 1,563.
Bit of a frustrating season but happy with the finish, will hopefully use the lessons learned to bounce back back next season.

Trades were W Agar, Edwards and Abbott to Bartlett Connolly and Curran.
Thankfully avoided having any players in the first game. Happy to end up with Connolly, has been hurting me all season so good to get some points back from him. Turns out I could have got Stoin over Curran but wasn't considering him so not going to beat myself up too much about it. Holding Maxwell has been one of things that has salvaged my season somewhat and he delivered in spades in the last 3 games.

As usual thanks to everyone who contributes to this website, it's a great community and I'm very happy to be apart of it.

Finished with a rank of 296, which I will gladly take and run!

Phenomenal work at the top end, to have three prize winners from amongst our number speaks volumes of the quality we've got here!

It's been referenced a little bit in the relevant thread too, but if you're looking for a cricket fix during the year, Sportsdeck run a competition for the IPL which runs from March to May. There's obviously not as much money up for grabs but it's a great training ground for any new strategies you're thinking about - and keeps you in the loop with who's doing well around the world! A new thread tends to open up in General Discussion when the game opens (typically a week or two before the season starts).

Congrats to all those who made the money, and all those who had good results. Well done. Bit of a shame we didn't get the overall winner again, but you should be proud of your efforts anyway!

I didn't take the final round completely seriously and ended up with a 4K+ranking overall, but the best I could have really hoped for at that point was to sneak somewhere into the 2000's. I mainly decided to enter a team to trial how the flex position works before the AFL season, as I expected it'd probably get added there too, I wasn't planning on joining at all until a day or so before the season started. Probably could have done better with a bit more effort, but to be honest I never do well at BBL anyway.

Bring on the AFL I say!
