Port Adelaide defender Esava Ratugolea left the track early after injuring his knee during training on Monday.
Ratugolea underwent scans shortly after, which showed he pinched his medial meniscus.
The 26-year-old will seek a specialist’s opinion in the coming days, with a return to play timeline to become clearer soon.

Doom and gloom has lifted for St Kilda after news three star players will be fit for round one against Adelaide.
Jack Sinclair (hamstring), Max King (knee) and Mason Wood (quad) all came from the track early during an in-house match simulation last week.
However, the key trio are expected to be fit for when the Saints travel to Adelaide Oval on Sunday, March 16, according to a report from the Herald Sun.
Missing the three stars would have been a dire situation for St Kilda, who are already without Mattaes Phillipou (leg stress fracture), Dougal Howard (shoulder) and Paddy Dow (knee infection) for round one.
In other good news for the Saints, star ruck Rowan Marshall (pelvis) is also expected to be fit to start the 2025 season.
Talented forward Mitch Owens is also close to signing a new contract with the club, reports the AFL.
The 21-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and would likely attract significant attention if he remains unsigned.
Owens has played 53 games for St Kilda and kicked 49 goals.

McMullin & Riccardi were both Emergencies in their SF team (Haynes was the 3rd)
Need to replace Cumming , Peatling & Perryman from that SF starting team.
Fixture helps , so might wait until their Round 3 team before jumping on any rookie priced players named for Round 1 (can get a "free" look in Round 0 as well)

Nine’s Trent Kniese reported that Viney missed training on Wednesday morning after being on the receiving end of a rib knock last week, with the club confirming his injury.
The 30-year-old’s scans revealed damage to his rib cartilage, which has already ruled him out of the Demons’ intra-club match in the coming days.
Youngster Caleb Windsor has also been temporarily forced to the sidelines, as a skin infection in his foot prevents him from hitting the track.
“It’s been frustrating for Caleb, as it has taken a couple of days to get on top of the infection. We’re confident with where it’s at now though,” Richardson added.
“At this stage, we expect Caleb to re-join the main training group by the middle of next week.”
Christian Salem and Jake Bowey were also absent from Wednesday’s session due to illness.

The Saints confirmed on Wednesday that King had avoided major injury, with a one-to-two-week timeframe placed on the forward.
Dual All-Australian Sinclair suffered a hamstring injury in last Friday's training session, and is expected to return in four weeks, while Liam Henry is facing a delayed start to the season, with a timeframe of six weeks placed on his knee rehabilitation.
The Saints face Adelaide in round one in less than five weeks, leaving no margin for error for Sinclair and leaving Henry with little chance to feature in the season-opener.
Another casualty from Friday, Mason Wood, is two to three weeks away from recovering from a quad injury, and is expected to be available for round one, as is ruck Rowan Marshall who is on track to recover from a pelvis issue in time.
The Saints will be without draftee Alix Tauru (back, 7-9 weeks), young gun Mattaes Phillipou (leg, 9-10 weeks) and Dougal Howard (shoulder, 11-12) for round one, while Paddy Dow's availability is yet to be determined after suffering a persistent knee infection over the summer break.
