Mentioned it multiple times already, and forgot to again when I updated late last night, but huge thanks to @Beg2Differ for stepping in here this year with all the updates he has provided. This competition wouldn't be anywhere near as good without your regular input, and also for providing updates on my behalf when I was absolutely smashed by work mid season. Definitely appreciate everything you have done not just here, but in various other topics throughout the site. Thank you.

Absolutely agree that @Beg2Differ, with his input, made this Competition much more enjoyable. And thankyou @Ironhawk for running this Comp so well, I really enjoyed it.
Congratulations @Diabolical on winning this Comp.

Round 24 Results:

Congratulations to @Diabolical on becoming the fourth player to win this competition! I guess being an Essendon fan, at least your season here ended up far better, great effort. @T-Rex just edged out @xanderdom for second place overall in a very tight finish, with @Athomas not being able to do quite enough to make the overall podium.

It's worth pointing out the result @Beijing_Sting managed this season - first in Lock and Load, last here. As both require locking in a team at the start of the season and have similar strategies in a way, it's quite impressive to see such a large difference between the two results - that'd actually be tough to achieve.

As for Rd 24 results, @randomcliche can take some consolation from a round win (and seeing his team make finals), edging out @Old Big 'Ead and @toxic who complete the podium.

Thanks to everyone for participating again this season. If results didn't go your way this year, maybe next year will be the one for you. I'm just wanting to beat the Cookie Monster at least once in this comp, but I'm not sure that'll ever happen!
Thanks for your time in running this comp @Ironhawk

Let me tell you that it wasn’t just my saviour from Essendon disappointment, it was also a nice distraction from my deplorable SuperCoach, Dreamteam, Fantasy, Ultimate League and Mid Price Madness seasons!

I guess it shows if we enter enough things, then luck might run our way in one of them!

If you had a deplorable Mid Price Madness season, just imagine how bad everyone else's was! :ROFLMAO:

Anyone who can be bothered, or has the capacity - I'd love to see a breakdown of all the best picks from the midpricers this year :p
The following shows all the MPM players ranked by total points for each team. Note that it would include mid-season draftees who obviously couldn't be selected as I don't have a record handy of who they were.

Looks like plenty of these players will be available again next year, priced in the MPM range again.

Thanks a lot for these stats / best team.

I know it's super early, but I'm already getting excited for MPM2025!
Any thoughts on the price adjustments? Will that be reflected in the rules for MPM or keeping it as usual?
Good question, hadn't thought about the impact the flex etc would have on this. I'll have to think about it.

It will mean I need to update the spreadsheet yet again though, hooray.

My favourite SC comp - will this be running in 2025?
Thank you.

I really hope so. The main delay is I will need to completely change my spreadsheet to incorporate the flex player each round (which is an overly complicated beast). I was hoping to get a large chunk of it done over this last weekend, as that's about the only free time I get, however I copped a bad case of Covid and had zero energy all weekend, just starting getting over it now, unfortunately that'll likely delay the start by at least a week.

I expect this comp to be ready in a few weeks time. Rules will be pretty much the same as last year, except you will now have to pick one extra player (13 teams with 2 players, 5 teams with 1 player - price range $200K - $450K, $10M total budget). Also if I can get it to work in the spreadsheet, Opening Round will get included this year, which will likely be a Best 10 round. Feel free to start planning a side with all that in mind.

Like others on this thread I love this comp. I try and put a team together as early as possible. The reason is that by doing this I am forced to find a heap of value players that I would have never thought of before. That helps with my real team having more options and also gives me some mid pricers/value players to follow in the various training reports.

For the record I can advise other MPM players right now that with the 200k-450k criteria remaining as is this year, the ruck selections absolutely suck.
