Essendon can **** off!
Maybe throw in Danger as well
Sydney must have a bit of COLA left for Danger and Sloane, right? :p
LOL - funny thing was I was thinking about this the other day.

Strangely, I was more thinking of when Swans was 17-1 for the premiership after they had a shocking start. Bit annoyed I didn't put a $50 (or at least a $20) at 17-1. At the time, I thought wow geez those are generous odds, but thought perhaps the odds were correct.

Then I was watching the Swans the other day and thought they were very dominate (against Cats, I think) and probably deserved now to be favourites. I was more thinking of Tom Mitchell and O'Keefe not being able to get a game at the Swans when they would be walk-up starter for most AFL clubs.

Then for some reason my mind focused on Ablett and Dangerfield and who would be a perfect fit for the Swans. Ablett is obviously a better player, but the Swans have good midfielders, and thus I decided that Dangerfield would be a better fit for the Swans than Ablett.

Not sure how my mind got from Sydney being 17-1 to Dangerfield being a better fit for the Swans (than Ablett); :)

Sorry Drew; LOL :) Dangerfield is probably a better fit to the Swans than Ablett :)

Hasn't Dangerfield re-signed recently?

Once Sloane goes to Essendon, the Crows will be able to pay whatever Dangerfield wants to have to be willing to sacrifice living in Adelaide for a few more years. :p

It would be awesome if Essendon could pick up Boomer to join Goddard and Chappy..and i think Jay would be quietly hoping we picked up Newman as well.

Hall of Fame.

Still miffed Johno not in.

Was he too much of a larrikin or something?
Mark i reckon. Maybe Jason :p

I think Oz posted that before johno was inducted
He should have waited until the night was over lol. Premature posting, there is nasal spray for that :p

lol.. I did not mean Brad Johnson although happy he did get in.
I meant Wayne Johnston... 4 time premiership player.

***? Kouta gets in before him. Don't get me wrong, Kouta was a wonderful player and had some stellar moments but hmmm... as a Carlton supporter that seen both their careers. Kouta I don't quite rate up there with Johno for better players I seen at my club in my time of watching footy. I have a disclaimer though. Maybe Johno is already in and I just missed noticing what year he got inducted...lol..

If he is not in Hall of Fame, there is something seriously wrong about that.

I also remember reading that his form was less than inspiring in the twos as well. They probably didnt expect Missy to still be playing at this stage of the year and brought him in to take his role.

Anyone see Tex's tweet?...

"Comparing blokes super coach points from previous years to now trying to explain inconsistency. Its is a stupid online game."

Not sure about you guys but firstly I can't stand the way he wrote SuperCoach, can't have it in lower case an split into two words!
Secondly it isn't a stupid game at all.

:D Haha

Bad news for Tex owners.

Champion Data on the weekend:
"I'm not sure if that kick was effective or ineffective. What do you think?"
"It was Walker so no. That'll teach him for ridiculing SC!"

Seriously though i think they need to find a way to stop this go home factor with what particlarly seems to be Victorian draftees, it undermines what is supposed to be the great equaliser - the draft which is meant spread the best talent around the competiton. It's going to effect the perenial bottom clubs that will stay constantly weak and financially poorer by being stuck at the bottom of the ladder while the bigger richer Victorian clubs build greater and greater pulling power hurting insterstate clubs in particular that have to rely on the bigger population base of Victoria to produce most of the draftees. Definitely think this is something that will come to bite the AFL on the arse with GWS once their initial draft concessions play out over time, small crowds, small fan base in a region that's barely interested in AFL football.

Maybe a marque players payment system is needed? ie each club can exclude one player contract from it's salary cap. Could be geared so clubs can only use it on a player that has given them 5 years of service, this would allow a club to retain a talent it has spent years delveloping and doesn't create another overpriced auction system for the best players.

AFL Fantasy related:

This is the first year I have played Dreamteam/Fantasy. I was forced into it as my work league switched over from SuperCoach much to my disgust. But I have found myself with quite a good ranking of 381 after last round and currently 337 in the live rankings for this round. I am 950 points off the leader. Now I'm wondering if I should take it seriously and have an honest crack at overall.

To anyone that has played / is playing Fantasy do you think I'm in with a shot taking into account my ranking and the where we are at in the season? If so, I would love some advice on going forward with my team and what trades to aim for. Cheers!

Well done. Great ranking.
I wish I could help but I barely brush over AFL Fantasy stats despite playing it. Still struggling to know how prices adjust. I just know they changing every week for each player. Not every 3 weeks like SC. I actually had a good weekly ranking about a month ago but honestly was not sure how I was doing well...lol..

380 odd ranking if playing SC I reckon would still be a hope with 11 rounds to go. So why not in AFL Fantasy. Go for it I reckon. Good luck and back your hunches.

Thanks for that. It is certainly a very different competition to SC - scoring and pricing. I still can't get my head around the players going up in price after one match - makes it hard to generate cash.
