G'day guys.

5 trades left

Ablett to either Libba or Ward??

And use the extra cash to upgrade Ambrose and then next week cutler to Mitchell.
Ward for mine if you can afford it. Generally more consistent than Libba.

Backs: Simpson, Bartel, Swallow, Enright, Hanley, Litherland (Laidler, Cutler)
mids: ablett, pendles, beams, selwood, Libba, SJohnson, Murphy, Rockcliff (Acres, Shenton)
rucks: sandi, Minson (Thurlow King)
forwards: dangerfield, parker, zorko, Dmartin, Franklin, SMartin (Cameron, McGovern)

7 trades, 25k.

Im running top 4 in my leagues so I can afford to drop a game this week I think. My two thoughts are as follows.

Option 1: Keeping Gazza for a week and then trading him in for JPK. Money left over will be a upgrading Litherland to SMitchell.

Option 2: Trading Gazza out this week for Fyfe who will rise in price due to his BE and then trading McGovern to HOneybunny this week for cash to upgrade Litherland and keep some spare in the kitty. Have no idea on Honeybunny's JS...if he is omitted then I have no fwd cover at all. Might be the only time I can get Fyfe before the finals.

Thoughts guys?

Do people think Kade Simpson will come good again? Have waited for a long time until he hits rock bottom and that time has come (BE of 70). But I'm really not sure whether I want him if he will dish up 70s.

Okay so I have one forward position to complete my team, and need to offload GAJ & McGovern. My ideal forward is Gray. While I am leaning towards Sloane for my mids. The question is how to do it.

I think McGovern to Honeychurch is a no brainer.
Then I was thinking going GAJ to Gray this week using the dpp. That would leave me just under $400k to upgrade one of my 4 bench players to Sloane. However Gray has a higher break even meaning he'll rise less or even drop, and I am likely to use one of my forward bench (Cameron or Kersten) for next week's upgrade to finish my team.

So who first: Sloane or Gray?

I would stay away from him if possible. Looks to have changed his role so don't expect much more than 80s.

If u really need him for extra cash, could be a risk worth taking.

Well sloane has a much lower BE so that would be the logical option.

I have a question, 4 trades left and I have Goddard and rocky with o'brien and Wingard on the bench.

Do I jut cop the probable donut or trade to someone like sloane?

So basically, 100 points now, or a trade later?

ZoB a good chance to play this week, hold the trade. If it was Swan and you were going to upgrade him it might be worth it, but Goddard has been solid.

3 trades left $200+k

have traded like a fool so have very little cover and still not a full team of prems.

thinking
gaz -> parker
ambrose/mcgov-> harvey/gray

leaving one trade for luck.

will prob cop a donut for rockliff unless obrien or acres comes in, but i'm resigned to that given my situation.
who do i keep out of the fwd options and which one of harvey or gray to bring in... thoughts anyone?

I think O'Brien will play, I am in the same situation with copping a donut from Rocky if he doesn't but with the outs at the moment and his form in the NEAFL I am confident he will play.

7 trades remaining and no idea what to do with Gaz.

Logical choice for me is Gaz to JPK but looking to upgrade bench positions as well.

Can go Gaz to JPK and Ambrose to N Roo (F7), which means S Martin can float into the rucks when required.
My issue is, if I went Gaz to K Jack (ave 105) and Ambrose to N Roo. With the money saved, this means I would have enough left over to upgade, (D8) Litherland to S Mitchell next week.

520k is about the limit I can spend to get the 3rd upgrade (Litherland to Mitchell).
Choices from K Jack (518k ave 105), A Treloar (509k ave 108), A Swallow (486k ave 89).

Thoughts welcomed, I know I would be leaking a few points each week but it would be a luxury to have S Mitchell, Shenton (dpp), S Martin and N Roo all warming the pine ready for late outs.
Ranked 80th overall so out of the race. Not sure what is more important now, the best player available or a good bench cover and consolidate for finals in league's.

I've planned for a couple of trades, but I know they will be thwarted at the selection table tonight.

At this stage the plan is Gaz > JPK/Fyfe; McGovern > Gray.

Really wish I had have started with Thurlow. R/F swing would be very handy right now.

Would I be silly to trade in O'Meara this week along with Honeychurch. Then get Rockliff next week and be able to loophole O'Meara and Swan at M8.

Would cop a donut though if Hibberd doesn't play. Another option is to get Daniel McStray form the Lions to cover if Hibberd is out, or get Mitchell instead of O'Meara and be able to use him as a loophole/cover for both DEF and MID's.

I would stay away from Daniel just coz Lions and their rookie selections cannot be trusted upon when you need them.
Getting Mitchell and using him as loophole cover for your MID/DEF is the best option I reckon.

Gotta be Mitchell, awesome history, cheaper and DPP. Got 75 in a loss after fading away in the last quarter. Will play every game until finals, no time for rests.

Thoughts on these options?

Team:
B: McVeigh, Hanley, Simpson, Birchall, Hurn, Swallow (Bews, Hunt)
M: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, StevieJ, Dal Santo, Beams, Liberatore, Cotchin (O'Brien, Acres)
R: Goldstein, Sandilands (Smith, King)
F: Dangerfield, Harvey, Martin, Franklin, Zorko, Pavlich (Ambrose, Cameron)

5 trades, 40k

Option A
Out: Gaz, Sandi
In: JPK, Jacobs
Keeps extra trade, no added cover but removes a couple of negative PODs.

Option B
This week -
Out: Gaz, Sandi
In: Murphy (maybe)Jack/Swallow/Griffen/Lids/Swan, Minson/Ryder

Next week: Acres to Sammy Mitchell.
Uses one extra trade, adds cover but creates further negative PODs.
