Hi all. Undecided on whether I upgrade or bring in cash. 5 trades. $65k in bank. My FWD needs one more upgrade but I have to deal with Gaz.

Option 1:
Gaz to SJ
McGovern to Honeychurch. Gives me $457,600

Option 2:
Gaz to SJ
McGovern to Robbie Gray. Leaves me with $44k.

Option 3:
Hold off on trading Gaz for next week
Shenton to Honeychurch
McGovern to Gray. Leaves me with $88k
Option 2. You have to trade out Gaz and upgrade F6 eventually, Options 1 and 3 just delay this...and there doesn't seem to be any reason to delay for your team.

K. JACK. Why do you guys think his scores have dropped so much in the last few weeks? Do you think he can pick it back up?

I don't have many trades left... But do you think I should bring him in this week or wait for jpk next week?
St Kilda plays 2 hours before Gold Coast (ie. 2 hours before Ablett gets locked), so set Shenton as emergency as see if he has a good score at around Saturday 4.30pm.

- If he has a good score then you won't lose too many points if you wait for JPK next week (leave Ablett onfield, and get Shenton's emergency score).

- If Shenton scores 30-40, then probably trade GAJ out.

* Note that if you don't trade Ablett, you run the risk of a donut if any of your other mids is a late omission...tricky call!

Regarding K Jack, I asked APS1 about him the other day, this is what he replied:

Didn't see the SYD/GWS game from a couple of weeks ago, but reports were that he injured his back/shoulder in the 4th quarter and didn't come back on. There were apparently reports that he could have been a late out on the weekend, but he played. He probably is carrying a minor injury, but then most players would be at this stage of the year.

Have added Option C. Thoughts?
I reckon at this point of the season, Option C is the one to go with. If Sandi plays you've saved a trade, (which you can use on S. Mitchell next week cash permitting) if not Ryder is a perfect replacement.

A or C simply because I'm not sold on S Mitchell. He'll be value but In my "expert" opinion I don't think he will average too much above 90.
Probebly A simply because you could be picking up 10 ppg from now on anyway with the Sandi--> Jacobs by the looks of things.
Cheers mate. Feels like it will be my most important trade this year as strange as it sounds.

Only another 10 hours to make a decision

Cheers mate. I won't be able to grab Mitch unless I go a little cheaper with my midfield options (Swallow/Griffen/Lids/Swan) beforehand so that adds another variable i need to consider :/

It's interesting that so many seem to have decided to jump straight back on S Mitchell. I'm pretty wary. 2 late outs (was it?) early in the season, then half the season out. He's a champion, and could still score well, but I'm not sure I trust his old legs.

I guess if you have the luxury he'd make a good D6/D7 loop and Mid loop/cover.

So a couple of Options this week, plus variations within those options. Have 6 trades before these trades and still running Shenton as F6 and a m/f premo in the mids. Team linked.

1:
McGovern > Gray
Ablett > Selwood/Sloane/NDS/SJ/A Swallow

or

2.
McGovern > Zorko
Ablett > Fyfe/JPK

I've got Hibberd/Ablett/Goddard. Can cover Hibberd, and will trade Ablett, but will probably have to cop a donut in the mids with both these trades.

3. Looking at something that will cover all my mid outs. This would most likely involve getting in Gray and another mid/fwd ddp. (Didn't think through it last week when I brought in HoneyC, in the fwd-line with Shenton, and Parker in the mids, so limits swing options). Not sure it's worth it for one week, when Goddard and Hibberd will and should be back next week respectively.

Edit:

Have just been mucking around with this scenario:

4. Bring in any mid premo for Ablett, and trade Hartung > Spina m/f as an fd.

This allows me to swing Shenton into the mids to cover Goddard, and have HoneyC or McG as F6. So field a full team.

Then next week bring in Gray for McGovern. (This would also mean I'd have pretty good cover for every line except rucks.)

At this stage 1 or 4 is what I'm leaning towards.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Thats my thinking atm, will probably get next week. Unless I decide to get just a premium MID to loophole with Swan through M8/M9.

I like it, wont be too much a difference in JPK and Rockliff so I'd be very confident in getting JPK next week. Parker is a gun as well.

IMO trades are now precious , but you have to have a team on the park to be competitive , my mate at the bombers is very surprised Hibberd is not playing sunday

Thx GG for your thought's , just hope Kennedy doesn't get 152 so that will all come of and Shenton does ok as well , then i'm stuck with my team then with only 1 trade left and not much cash.
Hey who did you get for Gaz ????

Without being able to see your team I'd keep Hibberd

Hey FT, well my plan it so keep Gazza this week. Go O'Brien to McStray via DPP to cover for Hibberd being out. And also McGovern to Honeychurch. That then means I have a fair bit in the kitty to go Gazza to Rockliff (who I have been trying to get for weeks) and Shenton to either Mitchell/premium MID meaning I loophole them with Swan.

Hi FT, at this stage I'm looking to do something similar with Parker. I was looking at 2 trades, but I think I'll benefit from saving the trades in the long run.

SOrry to steal your idea FT, but what an idea! Now I'm thinking about bringing in Parker this week for Gaz, and then next week bring Parker down to Forward line and trading SMartin to Kennedy!

I'm in the same position as you... only 3 trades left

Anyone wanna help me this week, reversed trades at least 30 times already today.

8 trades remaining, $7,000 in the kitty.

Ablett the only issue as I have cover for Hibberd.

Any late outs across def or mids this week and it's a 0.

FYI: Josh Caddy, Lachie Henderson and Patrick Karnezis have all been in my side at some stage in the last 2 hours.

Ahh that hurt my head actually. Tricky situation to be in this week. Don't mind 4 tbh as you dont look to be short of cash on the bench so upgrading next week while covering this week wont be a problem. Will have good cover as well.

If there was another M/F FD you could grab you could also loophole your F6 this week.
