Wow, it is scary how the peanuts writing this article gave such killer betting advice.

Woah, that's some timing there!
I've been placing a few Brownlow bets on some outsiders throughout the year so it's nice that a few of them might have their odds shortened.
I think it's going to make for a very interesting Brownlow count, can see him being streets ahead and everyone being in his corner and cheering him on as he tries to hold on for the last quarter of the season.

So thankfully it looks like Sunday night football is gone and hopefully Monday night footy is gone too.

I've been quite happy with the usual Saturday schedule in recent years of two day games, two night games and twilight game in middle. Friday night footy been big success for a long time. That to me is the time slots that clearly work.
As a Carlton fan we probably had the worst schedule of any club. Sunday night games, Monday night games, Thursday night games and the rest sprinkled more to my liking of a few Friday night games, Saturday twilight game and Saturday or Sunday games. No consistent time slot though. Been a nightmare as a fan. What I did find I quite liked was the Saturday Twilight game. It is quite handy as allows you to do normal stuff Saturday, then goto a game and then go out later on if you wish or home for the night.
I do have a question though. Is there any strong reason not to have 2 Friday night games? We have 2 Saturday night games and it always seems to work. Maybe we can have a few Friday night double headers also.
Example... A game started 7-10 pm Friday night in Melbourne and then directly after another game at 9-45 pm from Perth!!! It would be 7-45 pm in Perth so ideal for Perth people. Maybe not every Friday but every 2nd or 3rd Friday a game in Perth on a Friday night after an earlier Friday night game on the East Coast in either Sydney, Melbourne or Queensland. So basically Foxtel get a game Friday night from Perth and steal those games from some of the Sunday games that gone on in Perth that finish off the AFL round.
I think maybe twilight games on Sunday on East Coast should maybe only be when the Monday is a public holiday.
The 3-20 pm Sunday game to me I don't mind. Works for channel 7 too , I believe, so no real change there. Just think maybe we experiment stealing a game off Sunday to play 2 games on Friday nights. Saturday nights there is two games on regularly at same time so do not see why not try it out, or at the least experiment with my idea of two games after each other. One on East Coast and one in Perth. I'm sure it could work and clubs would be happier overall to avoid Sunday schedules.

Bulldog Tom Williams has officially retired due to persistent injury troubles. The key position player suffered another hamstring injury over the weekend which has prompted him to end his career.

Hey guys, how do you link your SC team? Thanks
1. Go to your SC homepage and type in your team name in the search box on the top right corner.
2. Copy the whole URL of your team page, it should look something like this: http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/other_teams/?tid=XXXXX
3. Go to your profile on this forum and head to the "About Me" tab.
4. Click the pencil icon and paste your team URL in it.
5. WIN

:)

Is anyone else having problems on the Supercoach site?
I keep getting the pop up window appearing which says, "Error: Component name not passed into iframe" with an address at the top "https://identityssl.newscdn.com.au".
So far this has occured when clicking on to do a trade and looking at a players season stats.
I've been able to work around it so far but certainly don't want this to keep occuring or get worse to the point where I can't do a trade or make any changes to my side.
If anyone with a bit of insight into this ( i'm not computer savvy) could please let me know what it means.

Just heard channel 7 apologise for BT's comments last night....anyone know what for?
Showed some vision of Harry Taylor being chaired off in his milestone game. Was waving to the crowd like the queen and he called him a ****ter. Hope he gets the sack. He's a **** commentator.

What a knob

I really hope he gets sacked. I won't have to turn to online commentary while watching the game anymore....

Funny thing is I heard it on that night but went in one ear and out the other. Just thought it was BT being BT. Trying to be funny. I remember seeing him apologize later on in night for comments directed towards Harry Taylor. However the context of what he said and when he said it, was clearly not meant to be taken seriously. Doubt he'll get in much trouble over it from channel 7. They'll probably just stop there strange habit of before the game having BT somewhere else from others on panel and they throw to him in some attempt at light hearted humour. He needs to concentrate on his calling of games anyway. His calling of games has really taken a dive in recent seasons, probably because he tries to expand out to be personality star and an entertainer rather than just a caller. I always could not stand Rex Hunt as he went down this path and channel 7 tried to make out he was some type of network star. Channel 7 are as much to blame for this as BT himself. Funny thing is, I think he'll pull in his head a bit after this and not carry on as much as he has in recent seasons. Probably still be a knob, just less so...lol

I have a big problem with BT and the quality of his work. It's truly awful on a lot of levels. I was hoping he'd get sacked over this! It's a dumb thing to say, proving yet again that he is a dumb person. Also his apology should have been to the gay community as well just not Harry!
