Can I nominate for secretary of the no trades club? Last to be used this week on Gaz, likely to JPK.

Current ranking: 155
Final ranking: lord knows

D: McVeigh, Swallow, Simpson, Hanley, Hibberd, Enright (Jaensch, Bews)
M: Pendlebury, JPK, Selwood, Fyfe, Liberatore, Barlow, Murphy, Dangerfield (Taylor, Acres)
R: Sandilands, Mumford (Brown, Currie)
F: Harvey, Dusty, Gray, Parker, Zorko, Wingard (SMartin, Honeychurch)

Hanging on for the ride, white-knuckled.

EDIT: Oh, if anyone is playing me in leagues or the US open, I'm totally foxing and have 28 trades left. You should totally blow yours on speculative hail-Mary trades to get one up on me..
Great cover on all lines! You should get by with no trades. For a little while... ;)

Man, that's some crazy bench cover you have there, more than enough to get you through!

After spending a good portion of the year in the top 500; my ranking is now officially in free-fall (on the back of a few horrible weeks). After hopes of overall drifted away with my early-season frivolous spending of trades; I decided to take a few deep breaths, grit my teeth, and bear a couple of donuts whilst focusing on leagues.

I've dropped about 500 places overall, and now find myself sitting 556th. Have decided to use my last two trades to turn Ablett into Rocklobster and possibly Gardiner into McVeigh - leaving me to battle along with:

Defenders: Swallow, McVeigh, Simpson, Hurn, Hanley, Hibberd (Jaensch, Langdon)
Midfielders: Dependlebury, Rocklobster, Liberatore, Selwood, Beams, S Johnson, Murphy, Zorko (Swan, J Hunt)
Rucks: Sandilands, Lobbe (Brown, King)
Forwards: Dangermouse, Harvey, D Martin, Franklin, Gunshow, S Martin (T Walker, Honeychurch)

I reckon a position on the Board of this club is appropriate for me!

Yep I gambled too hard and finished my team last week with 1 trade left - forced now to use that on Ablett :(
Bring on 2015

Bartel - McVeigh - Hibberd - Swallow - Simpson - Thompson (Langdon - Bews)
Pendlebury - Fyfe - Beams - Liberatore - Selwood - Cotchin - Johnson - Swan (Wingard - Acres)
Sandilands - Goldstein (Brown - King)
Dangerfield - Martin - Franklin - Martin - Zorko - Pavlich (Petrie - Honeychurch)
1 down.

Well here im again :(
9 weeks and i was flying was ranked 540 overall and feeling good about The Muppets for 2014.
Then i made mistake after mistake and the trades took a beating to which i am now out and left with a unfinished looking side with a big turd stinking on the bench :(

Def - Mcveigh, Bartel, Hibberd, Hanley, Swallow, Adcock,
Lumumba, bews

Mid- Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood, Sloane, Beams, Goddard, Murphy, Swan,
Honeychurch, Hunt

Rck- Sandi, Nicnat, Holmes, King

Fwd- Dangerfield, Martin, Franklin, Pav, Wingard, Lecra,
Ambrose, Cameron

Six mistakes that stuffed me -
1/ Round 9 trade ins of Swan & Cotchin
2/ Round 12 trade out of Jacobs (last game sunday ankle injury scare)
3/ Round 12 trade in of Nicnat (thought he was on up- lasted 3 weeks)
4/ Having No Ruck back up to cover injury or injury scares
5/ Trading in Pods instead of the generic players - lecra over gray
6/ Not holding onto mid price selections long enough , biggest 1 would have been Guthrie as i had him down as a good stepping stone but then got scared when he was shutdown tagger in early rounds.

was a few more mistakes but think those 6 were the worst

Hasn't been all doom and gloom as i have achieved my highest ever ranking postion (540) and have been in the top 10k for the whole season (hopefully wont full out) learnt some more lessons and i know that ever since i found this little gem of a site my ranking has improved every year :)

Cotchin from round 9 has ave of 107.5. With a low score of 81. Don't think this is to bad and hes building up to a end of season 110 ave. Going by your team you traded him out, i would put that down as a bad trade.

With Swan departing and Liberatore joining the team I have somewhat reluctantly collected my membership at the front door. Leaves me with:

Def - Mcveigh, Bartel, Birchall, Hanley, Mackie, Seedsman,
Gardiner, Aylett

Mid- Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood, JPK, Beams, Liberatore, Stevie J, Barlow,
Shenton, O'Brien

Rck- Sandi, Jacobs, Currie, King

Fwd- Dangerfield, Martin, Westhoff, Pav, Roughead, Stef Martin,
Wingard, Spina

Those in red, a whopping 11, have been there, for better or for worse since the start.

I have joined the club once again at the same time as last year. Walker was the last hit i could take. A little different this year as i think my team is better then last year but i think i will fall out of the top 100 by the end and I'm hoping to hold on to a top 500 finish for the third time in a row.

Defence- Swallow, Malceski, Bartel, Hanley, Hibberd, Mitchell (Gardiner, Bews)
Gardiner the only back up so hope he holds his spot. Mitchell could be someone else by tomorrow night.

Midfield- Pendlebury, Kennedy, Selwood, Sloane, Beams, Cotchin, Murphy, Griffen (Shenton, O'Brien)
Griffen ever plays so i swing Shenton with Wingard to cover him. Cotchin Is improving so that helps. But all in all i would say this is a strong line.

Ruck- Minson, Sandilands (Martin, King)
I have the Martin swing and he normally plays in the forward line but with Sandi out he can cover. Helps alot and cant see myself getting a donut here.

Forward- Harvey, Dangerfield, Martin, Franklin, Pavlich, Wingard (Cameron, Brown)
Not a huge fan of this forward line but at least i have the swing to cover the donuts. Martin would take Wingards spot or would use the Cameron loop.

There you go final team with 160k in the bank. So me being here in same spot last two years i recon i would be on the board of the no trades club.

Or more appropriately 97 when I had him, 127 when I didn't.
Traded him do a donut Stevie J to make things worse.

I think I am a shot for the executive. No trades left. Guaranteed 0 this round. Extremely poor cover for the rest of the year. Will save my rant and atrocious trade wasting for the end of season review.
