Petracca and Brayshaw are the best bets. Can't see Heeney getting a regular game at Sydney, most likely a development year in the NEAFL. Blakely, Neal-Bullen, Bampton and Gore are others that could come in provide an immediate impact depending on the clubs they land at. Weller and Stretch another couple to keep an eye on.

Yeah, I've mentally-locked Bampton onto my mids bench already :D

I think Sydney showed this year with Lloyd and Biggs that they're not adverse to playing the inexperienced guys.

Which ones get DPP will be interesting too.

In regards to Sydney, both Lloyd and Biggs weren't first years players this year. Sydney have a habit of holding back the youngsters (don't ask me why, I haven't a clue). Hannebery was highly regarded and dominating in the NEAFL in his first year and didn't make his debut until Round 16 - and arguably Sydney's depth is better now than back then. Just food for thought.

DPP is very interesting! If Petracca will be a forward will be a big one. Paul Ahern and Jayden Laverde could be some other early picks that could potentially be DPPs.

Definitely should be a mid/fwd. Multiple goalkicker in 7/9 Tac Cup games this season and 12/17 in 2013. Was named on the half forward flank in the TAC Cup.

Also taken 63 contested marks in his 26 matches in the last two seasons.

Hey people, is there anyone here keen to do a site mock-draft, preferably before trade window gets in full swing (so we don't have to worry about FA and compo)?

If there's enough of us it could help to pass the time this off-season :)

I know it's not 2014 draft related but does anyone know if Matt Scharenberg is fit and looking like breaking into Collingwood's squad next year? Would be great to have a dirt cheap high draft pick rookie to lock into defence next year.

Didn't he do his ACL in the VFL late in the season?

I'd be keen to help but it looks like we'll have to wait until trade week is over now.

Father/son bidding underway (or almost complete). I've missed a couple i think but will update it when something is published.

The players who have been nominated but had no bids placed on them will automatically join their clubs: Josh Clayton (Brisbane), Alec Waterman (West Coast), Jeremy Finlayson (GWS)

A recap... In the first round (understanding the picks will be adjusted), Isaac Heeney joins the Swans with pick 17, and Darcy Moore joins Collingwood at pick 8.

In the second round... Jack Steele joins the Giants at pick 23.

In the third round... Billy Stretch joins the Dees with pick 39.

Zaine Cordy joins the Bulldogs in the fourth round at pick 61.

Liam Dawson will be the Lions' pick 41, and Harris Andrews joins the Lions at pick 60.

Clayton will join the Lions with their last national draft selection - a good result for them and him.
Darcy Moore joins Collingwood at pick 8.
Isaac Heeney joins the Swans with pick 17
Jack Steele joins the Giants at pick 23.
Jack Hiscox joins the Swans in the second round at pick 36
Billy Stretch joins the Dees with pick 39.
Liam Dawson will be the Lions' pick 41
Harris Andrews joins the Lions at pick 60.
Zaine Cordy joins the Bulldogs in the fourth round at pick 61.
Abe Davis joins the Swans in the fourth round at pick 73

Twomey missed Davis and Hiscox in his recap but yeah all there, 12 in total.

Think Waterman was massively overlooked and Hiscox overrated based on combine

Hogan a cheap option in sc?
You betcha. Should be 123K and barring injury you'd expect him to play just about every game. Believing the hype on him he should be good for 60-70 average at the very least.

Jarrad Jansen, Brad Hartman and Darcy Lang as well as Geelong's pick 10 (if he's a mid) should get a good run at it with Christensen and Varcoe gone and Kelly barely hanging onto a spot.

Apparently Petracca was a chance to make the NBA.

Now i love my footy, more than my NBA but given the choice surely you gotta choose the NBA

Played with Exum at an elite junior level i'm pretty sure.
