I'm in for $50 or $100. I'll only play 1, maybe 2 leagues though. I'll already be in a couple with friends. I like Bens structure also.

I'm in for $100. Like the idea of a mix of prizes.

As long as the money is held by a senior board member. Have seen people fleeced of their cash before

Money will be guaranteed by me.

If IDIG doesn't pay, I'll pay out of my own pocket.

I've known IDIG for all his life and know where he lives; LOL.

IDIG is my younger brother :)

I'm getting the raw end of the deal here.

I'm not even involved with any cash games, but guaranteeing IDIG pays; LOL.

Nothing like a bit of cash to keep me interested...put me down for a $50 and/or $100 league if there's room.

I also like Ben's suggestion of how to allocate the prizes...maybe we can squeeze something for the minor premier?

I enjoyed reading his books about 15 years ago. Thought the movie was a bit blah though.

One of my favorite bits was where he gave some advice for avoiding being conned by one of his cons which was where he dressed up as a security guard outside a bank after hours. He had put a sign over the night deposit box saying "Deposit Box broken, please leave deposits with security guard".

His advice: "It's a box in a wall, boxes don't break!"

Oh hell yeah, I love me a cash league!

$100 buy-in has my vote. Combination of league and overall prizes sounds good to me.

Maybe something like this:

Grand final winner: $800
Runners up: $400
Semi finalists: $200 each
Highest overall ranked team: $200

This allows four, possibly five coaches to at least double their money. Not saying we have to have a structure like this but it's an example.
I'd be keen for a $100 league if there is still any spots, I like something like Ben's format as well

Shouldn't the highest rank player get the most money then Grand final winner?

Highest overall ranked team: 1,000
Grand final winner: 400
Runners up: 200
Semi finalists: 100

Because that's what where all going for the highest rank

Yeah i tend to agree but will go with majority. I'm thinking a bit of a balance between both at the moment unless we get enough interest to start two leagues so it won't be so heavily weighted to one or the other.

Yeah, I agree that personally we are all going for the highest rank possible and obviously winning the 50k but in our league matches we are battling each other head to head with the aim of winning the grand final.

How about this setup which rewards both the highest ranked team and the grand final winner equally:

Highest overall rank: $600
Grand final winner: $600
Runners up: $300
Semi finalists: $150 each

Win the grand final and be the highest ranked team overall and you win yourself a cool $1200.

That's pretty close to what i was thinking BB, makes for a nice balance between the two.

So far yourself, phil, johno, dimma and buddylove have expressed your interest...this is gonna be some kind of league to win!

Interested

Last year me and some mates were in a cash league which I coordinated. After lengthy debate we came up with a pretty reasonable system that covered most aspects and was fair (to an extent). It worked out a treat, see if this format might be of help

eg
$50 buyin ($900 prize money)
$250 for the league winner (premiership)
$125 for runners up (finalist)
$250 for the highest overall ranked team
$125 for the 2nd highest overall ranked team
$75 for Minor premiership (#1 ranked team before finals)
$75 for the highest score obtained by any team in any round (for the season)

Would translate to

$100 buyin ($1800 prize money)
$500 for the league winner (premiership)
$250 for runners up (finalist)
$500 for the highest overall ranked team
$250 for the 2nd highest overall ranked team
$150 for the Minor premiership (#1 ranked team before finals)
$150 for the highest score obtained by any team in any round (for the season)
