Haha, I was going to say, with your fantasty footy background, you're losing you're mind. We are lucky to get the scores in the paper for the VFL comp, let alone a supercoach comp. :D

In addition to your SCS League:

If anyone has any space for a spare league, I have some league spots to fill. Let's get some convivial competition going.

Come one come all.

League Code is 791085

Cheers.

Essentially did that in first season of FDL.
Although this rule has a slight twist on what I used. This one you do not need to nominate likely player to be subbed or start as sub. This one they are making it dependent on time instead which is good thinking.
I made it you could nominate two players in the 22 and if either or both were subbed or started sub and an emergency eligible for position scored higher the emergency could go in the 22 instead.

I like the variation on it. Good to see they are not light years behind in thinking ;)
They have also added new stats.

The wait is almost over. Ultimate Footy will be launching tomorrow afternoon!

In the mean time, here's another new feature to get you exited for 2015 that will revolutionise the way you use emergencies, and more details on the new premium stats that we have announced previously.

Leagues now have the ability to use 'Time on Ground Percentage' to control whether a player is replaced by an emergency. So if say a minimum of 20% of game time is selected, any player who plays less than 20% of a match will be replaced by an emergency.

The threshold can be set by league managers, with anything from 0% (same rules as previous seasons) to 50% able to be selected. If you want to cover only players who are injured early in a match, we suggest 20% (1% of cases in 2014). If you want to cover players who are subbed on late in the third quarter, we suggest 35% (4% of cases). In points-leagues if the player due to be replaced has scored more than the emergency, the original player will remain in the team. In category leagues the substitution will happen based solely on highest time on ground percentage.

This additional feature is available free to all leagues. Public leagues will use the default setting of 20%.

Another change to emergencies is that empty starting positions will no longer be replaced by emergencies. Only a player in your starting lineup that doesn't play will be replaced. This is designed to reduce the impact of the "emergency loophole".

Lastly, some details regarding the Stats upgrade package. We announced a month ago that this year leagues have access to new premium stats for scoring. To access these stats, your league will need to upgrade to "Stats PLUS". This will cost $29.95 and is a one-off payment that will upgrade your entire league. A part of this upgrade you'll also receive projected odds for your fantasy matches. The "PLUS" upgrade from previous seasons has been renamed "Features PLUS" and will remain at $39.95. If you upgrade to both packages you'ill receive a $10 discount on the total price.

As a reminder, the new stats categories are:
- Rebound 50s
- Spoils
- Disposals
- Effective Disposals
- Ineffective Disposals
- Disposal efficiency % (category leagues)
- Contested Possessions
- Clearances

See you tomorrow for the best year of Ultimate Footy yet!

Probably just SC Gold for me at this stage. I like the idea of live scores, but I think some people had problems with that option last year and so it didn't sound worth the extra money. I used an App which gave "comparable" SC Live scores so that was good enough for my purposes.

I'll be just getting SC Gold.

There is nearly always someone here on SCS that posts quarterly, and sometimes more frequent, score updates as it is.

Don't forget about these offers from Herald Sun for university students.

The second option is very tempting for me as it includes SC Gold, HQ Live Scores and the digital paper for only $25. :D Only for university students/staff though (They request your ID Number). I know this would benefit Goodie, Nk and some other members on here as well. :)
Wow that's so cheap. Basically the price of SC Gold (Y).

Haha. No problem guys. :)

I got the offer last year but they were different options. Last year, I stupidly picked the option with 7 days of newspapers only. If I paid an extra $10, I could've got SC Gold and Live Scores but it was to late to change.

I read news articles on my mac as well so that option is perfect for me. :D

Haha. Yeah, if I get it this year, I'll get the Digital Access option. :)

I'm assuming it includes the Live HQ Scores - It should cause that usually does include access to everything.

SuperCoach Cup is open EXCLUSIVELY to participants who have a digital subscription to one or more of the following websites: www.heraldsun.com.au, www.couriermail.com.au, www.theadvertiser.com.au, www.dailytelegraph.com.au or www.foxsports.com.au.

Is it me or is Fox Sports cheaper than the others?

Fox = $ 2.50
PER WEEK
FOR THE FIRST 12 WEEKS THEN $5 PER WEEK †

Others = $ 10.00
FOR THE FIRST
28 DAYS THEN $12 PER WEEK †
Sorry, what's this for? I'm having a Friday moment i'm sure

Heraldsun digital pass is $16 per month pretty sure

Will this option give us access to the SC Cup?

I'm not sure mate. I'm guessing it would because it is a digital subscription from the Herald Sun website, but I can't guarantee that SC Cup access is included. May be wait for someone who takes the offer first and sees whether the option opens or not. But even if someone does subscribe through this option, I think that access to SC Cup will only appear closer to Round 5.

May be call Herald Sun Subscriptions or send them an email if you want an official answer? :)

I suspect for Supercoach Cup it is for all subscribers. They may mean simply registered on News site to play Supercoach. Who knows, it may not even mean paid subscription. However, the weekly prizes of proper cash I am under impression you would need a paid subscription of some form to those various newspapers.
