Page 9 - has a heap of teams listed.
Thanks for pointing out where they were. In 24 pages with nearly 500 posts I gave up after not finding them on first page and a few others after clicking for two to three minutes.
Just went to afl.com.au only about 10 minutes ago but thanks for the pointing it out where they were hiding. Was on my way to footy in public transport and then at game so never did have a chance to see them until late tonight. I was hoping I could edit some of my fantasy teams once I had a look but never got the chance. I am just finding out now a few players I named in my FDL team are not in their AFL 22 :(

I disagree with the premise.
You may be locking in a future correction trade, just to gain maybe 50 or 60 points. Your trades are worth more than that.
If I offered you 60 points to change your structure somewhere else in your team, you shouldn't do it, so you shouldn't do it here.

I agree with Rowsus on this (and I know I am not in the position as I had McIntosh on the field...) - I was in exactly the same position with Langdon at round 1 last year. Instead of getting McDonald, I took Fuller as a donut to get Langdon's first round 100, basically it was a pain the a of my season... Fuller sat on my back bench and offered nothing other than an occasional C choice and I missed all of McDonald's income.

This year it would be an even worse decision to go that way imo, as the back rookies are very low in number and have particularly dodgy js... Think of it this way - to get one 100 score, you are using a trade, giving up possible rookie coin and creating a hole in your team. That 100 score can be lost in round 16 by one prem being a late out due to an injury which you don't have the trades to deal with...

Depends if you planned a fd in your backline anyway. Will have to wait to see the rest of the teams and vests etc. before I make the final decision on McIntosh.

Agree. 60 points is not a lot come the end of the season.

A whole extra playing rookie, however, gives u 200k, possibly saves a couple of dounts and gives you another avenue for a downgrade/upgrade.

It is not by any means worth it.

So all those with McIntosh as an emergency like myself, what's your plan?

Going to try to get his score, and if so how?

Or just going to suck it up and miss out on his score this week?

Still thinking about this one.

Im on the same boat

If you go with a Hanbling type you could use it as a floating donut and have a look at the future score again in the future rounds. What if it pays off again? What if Saad ends up with a 30?

But then what is Hambling never plays and Saad score a 100

Who knows!

That's the thing exactly. With my current structure I planned to have a DEF floating donut, because as it stands I already have all the other DEF rookies. So I'm probably not going to waver from my initial plan, sticking to a FD, and as it works out it happens to mean that I do go McIntosh's score.

Now to decide out of Hamling or Goddard, have Hamling atm.

Another one that got sucked into going Goodes over hunt. If hunt does well next week, I think a correction trade will be in order.

hate to sound arrogant but i thought it would common knowledge to start any non vested rookie on the field???

as soon as i know a rookie isnt starting sub i start him on the field and hope for the best obviously doesnt always pay off unfortunetly

but then again you have the rare occasions like daisy getting hurt in the first minute

and in regards to byrne playing i CERTAINLY hope he does play hopefully from next week

I think I'm going to bring in Adamson from WCE as a DEF/MID swing for my floating donut. I can swap him with Lumumba to get Mcintosh's score and hopefully he'll be useful for more loopholes throughout the year.

Its funny to see and im also guilty of it, very guilty of it, thr knee jerk round 1 reactions. Goodes can still end up a better pick than hunt. You have 45k more. So you can still easily end up ahead.

Having said that i think I'll def trade hunt in round 2 lol. So if mcintosh is on your bench and u know ull make the correction you may aswell start a donut this week

I agree with Rowsus that you don't change your structure just for 50-60pts.

My plan was always to have a Floating Donut so I will get the zero player.

D - Floating Donut*, McIntosh (EMG)
M - Saad*

Floating Donut should only be picked if it was part of your original structure.

Those talking about a donut to get Toshs shouldn't do it unless this was a plan structure wise preseason. Last year I brought in hunt for Mcdonald . Hunt never played, Mcdonald made cash and i copped Hurn injury with no cover a few rounds in.
