In a nutshell it's because of people's ignorance and stupidity. Underlying it all is racism though.
It totally is racism. The Australians who are attacking Goodes don't understand that someone can be Australian today as well as being proud of their heritage and acknowledge the hurt of the past. It really is a tragedy. They don't get and appreciate his strength. He handles it all with intelligence and dignity. I am a massive fan.

Is it just me, or does this happen to everyone else recently.
Every time I either move a player, and particularly every time I click ON & OFF for SC Gold predictions, I get boxes popping up all over the place saying 'Team Saved'.
It is becoming extremely frustrating, and more frequent than it has in the past. As you have to click the X to delete the box, and then do it again once you do some other thing. Really annoying me atm!!!!!

Giants had the bye in NEAFL. he has been knocking on the door, but there is still a few guys that will probably get in before him. Guys like Corr, Pickett, Wilson and even Curtley Hampton.
I would love for him to get named and play non-sub effected games during the bye rounds, but that wont happen IMO. Will be sub candidate guarantee.

I am thinking of getting him in after bye rounds and use him as swing man, him or Lambert, depends whos more likely to play.

The Brisbane Lions have put contract talks with veteran Jed Adcock and ruckman Matthew Leuenberger on hold.
The Lions were prepared to offer Leuenberger to Essendon last year as part of a deal to secure Patrick Ryder, and it seems the Lions are content to wait until later in the season before making a decision on his future.
CEO Greg Swann has introduced a policy where players over 30 years of age will only be offered one-year deals.
A deal for Adcock will not be presented until the end of the season.

Whenever I think of Adcock I can't help to feel sorry for the timing in which he arrived at the club, poor bugger! From a random supercoach standpoint, does anyone remember the days of locking the Brisbane tandem of Drummond and Adcock down back and letting them go to work?

It's funny, the backline used to be my most favoured position re supercoach, now look at it! Adcock, Drummond, Gilbee, Bowden, Malceski, Fisher, Enright, Deledio, Broughton, Cornes, Milburn, Scotland, Newman.... take me back!

Ha! I've not been playing long, but I know what you mean about favourite combos. For me having Cox and NicNat Ruc/Fwd was a highlight.

Very few left on this list. Adcock, Malceski, Enright, Fisher, Broughton, Newman are very close to the end.

Essendon's Jake Carlisle is likely to wait until later this year before starting contract discussions, with the Bomber keen to see how the club is placed before making any decisions on his future.

Did you see AFL 360 ask Hurley if Jake Carlisle thinks he is a forward? Not a very convincing answer! I don't think Jake is happy up forward.

Lockett!!!!
Good stuff.
Bloody legend in so many ways.
Would have been an even bigger one if the crutches had actually hit Eddie McGuire

In his first season at Moorabbin, I had the pleasure of ending up in a car with Tony Lockett, Rod Owen and one of my mates, driving to two or three Pubs at around Midnight on a Thursday night. We drank a fair bit that night, and it wasn't until we were on the way home, that I discovered that Tony (our driver for the night) was only 17!!!
I only ever met him face to face one other time, about 10 to 12 years later. He didn't remember or recognise me, and I didn't expect him to, but man, what a difference between the man mountain I met that night, and the tall skinny kid that drove us around that first night! Seemed a very nice and genuine bloke both times, and I never actually raised our first meeting at our second brief meeting.

Who creates the fixture? 2 teams play on Monday. 6 teams have a bye the following round. Common sense suggests those two teams are among the six with the bye to avoid a needless 6 day break that clubs hate. In reality neither club has the bye.

Round 10 teams thread is listed as a closed thread... I'm guessing this is a mistake?
