Hadn't seen the Griffen one. It changed my opinion about the other two being deliberate for sure. I still don't think it's serious but if it happens again then I would agree he needs a week off as a deterrent.

The fact it already happened with Walker is the point of the issue though. It's a reoccurring thing with him and it has the potential to cause harm. Everyone loves to see a bit of the rough stuff in our game but sneaky things like this need to be stamped out immediately.

I agree with you There's nothing hard or tough about deliberately trying to injure someone like they did to Hodge. Makes Mitchell's actions all the worse.

Bad corks can be debilitating. I reckon the point is that it potentially hinders the player for the rest of the game. It's not as serious as a king-hit, but it can have the same effect on the players ability to play out the game.

Just saw footage on AFL 360 of Mitchell 'defending himself' against Griffen from an earlier game this season.

Removed any doubt for me, 100% deliberate act.

I'm really glad the Griffin incident came to light to clear the confusion because I always thought the Fyfe corkie was deliberate. I love hard play, I can accept brain snaps but I don't like deliberate, sneaky hits. The game is hard enough without that.
