Dayne Zorko anyone?? Ripping finish to the year from memory.

Even Christensen as another option. No preseason last year, took a while to get into the swing of things. Think he had decent numbers and at 466K might be value. Or is the likes of Rockliff, Beams and Hanley playing more regularly going to have effect on his scores and/or midfield time. Same scenario with Zorko..?????

Yeah too much uncertainty for mine.

If all of Rockliff, Beams and Hanley play then I can see both Zorko and Christensen spending a lot of time up forward which will hurt their scores.

Zac Merrett anyone?

Can only see him improving next year and I would expect he will play majority midfield.

What do you guys think? Would particularly like to hear from the many Bombers fans that post on here.

Sssssssshhhhhhhhhhh. Have had him pencilled in as a near certain starter since about halfway through the season. Only 2 tons is the only worry for me.

He is on my radar. I'm confident he will improve his average, the question for mine is by how much and where will be be ranked amongst the forwards. Currently 25th in price, I'm hoping he can rocket up into the top ten but my gut feeling is may end up about 15th best by average. So may end up passing on him just due to picking others before him.

Would Greene be a guy you'd look to before him?? I quickly did a rough team up tonight, more so to see what sort of structure I could come up with in relation to the exact prices, and for me at F4 it'd be between Greene and Merrett atm, they both could get a run if I dropped one of my more $$$ forwards also.

He's definitely one don I'm looking at. Laverde another one (some think he'll be better than Heppell!).
3rd year player breakout candidate in Zerrett. He's definitely one to keep on the watchlist, especially with the lack of clear options in the forward line.

I have Greene at around about the same place. He has scope for improvement although I am a little concerned that he only recorded one 100+ score in his last 12 games last year. I'm hoping to get a better idea of how much, if any, extra time he will get on the ball this year.

Here is a quote from the GWS website on Greene.

"(2016) Look Ahead: With so many talented midfielders at the GIANTS, Greene might find himself playing forward more often. He’s proven this year he can be dangerous around goal."

Can no one post about Zach Merret anymore? If you're smart enough to pick him just keep it on the down low so he's still a POD come round one. Locked in my side.

Similar thoughts to the above, has scope for improvement but how much is the big question. With all the good options at 30-100k more, you'd want to be pretty confident there's a 10-15ppg increase in him which i think is definitely possible but the other unknown is how is foot is and how Woosha uses him. I had a quick look and can't be certain if he's training/not training yet but will keep an eye out.

Last season, there looked to be a jump between his first 9 games and second 8 games, not sure if there was any reason for it or if it was a role change or just coincidence but if he can improve again he might end up a top 10 fwd.

First 9 games - 20 disp, 5 tackles, 83 DT 82 SC
Last 8 games - 25 disp, 6.6 tackles, 99 DT, 95 SC

For now he's a watch for me but if looks to be spending a lot of time in the midfield next year, he'll be hard to ignore.

Zac Merrett is the first picked this year. :)

I think it might be one year too early. Watson, Bird and Myers need to fit in somewhere.

Don't worry mate, teams chop and change so much from now until final lockout that every fantasy relevant player will get discussed on here at some stage. I have no problems in letting everyone know i'll be starting Jackson Merrett next year.....

With a view to the future, i would expect Merrett to still spend a fair bit of time in the midfield regardless of who's back. Jobe's best footy is behind him and Myers still needs to get his body right. Bird will be a handy player but will never be what Merrett could potentially be for us so throw him in the middle and let him shine i reckon.

Sam Gray?? Came home like a machine, and now with no sub risk should he be someone we should be locking in if he stays fit throughout the pre-season?

Welcome aboard Johno.
I currently have Sam Gray, but am a bit nervous as I don't know much about him and he has limited history.

He played over 80% tog in all those early games where we scored poorly. Maybe he benefitted from wines being out.

Any love for Reece Conca as a forward under 300k? I'd say with a good preseason he could look at 90+ ave in 2016.
