I agree, Selwood. I would prefer him even at the same price, although I would plan to end with both of them. One argument for JPK would be that often you can pick up Selwood somewhat cheap because he has slow periods - although this year he is starting at a discount to his normal level.
Reports about Selwood struggling to overcome a foot injury concern me.

For those that are considering Zorko, I've done some research into his scores and these were the results found:

With Beams & Rockliff: Average of 89.3/9 games
Without 1 of Beams/Rockliff: Average of 108.5/13 games

Based on this you can see that Zorko flourishes when one of Beams/Rockliff don't play, so if one goes down with a season ending injury then yeah he would be a great pick, however I think if both play which is more than likely, he won't be that great a pick. Just another thing I noticed, these are his scores to finish 2015:

96, 61, 137, 117, 157, 109, 95 (As expected, the 61 was the only game where both Rockliff/Beams played, once again showing how much they impact his scoring).

Anyway, based on my research I don't see him as value or a good pick as I think with Beams/Rockliff back, he will be pushed back to the forward line which greatly reduces his scoring output.

I like Z Merrett but he definitely needs to improve his ball use. He is a terrible kick but pound for pound the best tackler in the competition. More confident that he'll be a quality DT option next season.
He's actually rated as one of the Don's best kicks going inside 50! Might tell you more about the quality of the Dons other mids though (or how poorly they went last season). But I agree that he could be more of a DT pick because of the tackling.

I don't want to pump him up too much, i still think he won't quite make it to top 6-10 averaging players this season.
From memory he has one of the best draft camp kicking results ever recorded. I think..
I think his perceived poor disposal could be accredited to lack of targets he had to kick to last year :p

For now, i'm on him he has breakout written all over him and with his ability to tackle, he should be to avoid really really low scores if he can't get his hands on the pill.

Absolutely part of the reason in my opinion as well.

Should be good, a nice NAB Cup from him and he will be extremely tempting.

Martin vs. Dahlhaus vs. Bennell vs. Zorko

Pick 3..
Martin, Dahlhaus then Zorko.

Bennell can't stay on the park.
But if Bennell can stay on the park (I reckon he will this season), I would take Bennell, Dusty and Dahl in that order.

DMCC sums it up well here...

Parker v Wines

Both underpriced due to injury affected seasons in 2015. Who is the better pick though and why?

Both elite SC scorers of the future for sure.

I like Parker as a better option for this season, because he is 2 seasons more experienced and looks poised for a 110+ breakout. Many thought it would be this year on the back of a 108.5 season but things didn't fall into place. I feel that this is the season.

At Port Adelaide, Wines is quite probably second in line for the tag after Boak, whereas Sydney are full of damaging midfielders, and Parker would be further down the tagger's target list, with JPK and Hannerbery certainly ahead, and potentially Tom Mitchell and Kieran Jack.

Of the two, I'd go Parker - his price is similar but his best year is better than Wines', and his ceiling looks to be higher at this stage as well.

It's not the question you asked, but personally, I don't think there's much of a place for this type of selection this year, at least for most coaches. There are better players that are more discounted, and much cheaper players that are probably as good. If you are good at picking young players set to improve (your record indicates you might well be), that's probably fair enough, but for most of us I think it's better to pick a genuine fallen premium or a deeply discounted player than someone in between the two.

Merrett, KK, Greene, Rich for me.

* Taking into consideration that I expect Greene to miss a game or two through injury/suspension

Greene, Rich, Merrett, Kilodjashnij.

Expect KK to drop off a bit next year with all the Guns coming back in. Greene possibly a first rotation midfielder the clear winner I think.

Impossible to split IMO. Maybe Wines barely as Ports draw early is very very tasty and the injury was less severe.

I'll say:

Greene 19 @ 95
KK 21 @ 85
Merrett 19 @ 93
Rich 17 @ 88

So I guess that's the order you listed them in :)

Just out of interest, what do you predict will make Merrett and Greene miss 3 games each?

Perhaps suspension for Greene, but Merrett?

Taking the respective prices into consideration:
Fyfe vs Pendlebury vs Selwood?

^^For Merrett it's that he's never played 22 before (19 as he was breaking into the side, then 17 with injury), is still very young and gets low TOG. For Greene, it would be a combination of suspension and injury.

If I'd given Merrett one more game, he would have been first. The top three were close, with Rich further behind.

I think they're all quite good picks, but I don't have room for Fyfe at this stage. I'd forgo Selwood over Pendles, especially if doubts over his fitness linger, but I think you could argue all are very likely to be premium scorers, and all are discounted this year.
