What about throwing in Armitage the mix, potentially for M3? Does that change any decisions or was last year just an outstanding year not to be repeated? Some MASSIVE scores there...
Yeah he isn't a bad option, think I'd still take JPK and Sloane though.
One thing to note with Armitage is that a week ago I happended to notice St Kilda training down at the park near where I am staying, interestingly, Armitage did not participate at all in the session, not even in the rehab group. I haven't heard any word from St Kilda about any injury, but it's something to look into further if you were considering him. However, he may just have been having a rest.
Of these combinations, I would say Martin and Malceski. I personally like a set and forget ruck combination as a POD over Lobbe (he will be very popular). Not mad on Malceski, he is a definite risk vs. reward pick, but little more risky than Lobbe were it not for the vast amount of coaches that will pick him (thus minimising the risk- he stu*** up, we all do). I believe Shaw will be a lot cheaper at some point this year. Of the top-priced players on every line, he is the last one I would pick.
I am sure if you wanted to, you could fit Pendles and Libba into your team. Definitely number two. Libba is my favourite pick, but I feel that Pendles plus a decent defender outweighs Libba's value when coupled with the inflated price of Shaw. The only question is, which defender at sub 410k? The value picks that immediately stand out in that price range are Malceski and Zac Williams.
I am currently housesitting so I have had a whole day of nothing but Supercoach planning. The dilemma I keep coming back to is: Crouch + Bird vs. Shiel/Wines/Parker + rookie. Any preferences?
I am concerned with having Libba/Crouch/Bird in the same team (Leuey less so because he is ruck cover), but I really think all 3 have a genuine shot at being keepers. If all three of them are keepers (or if one is M9/F7), it's a massive win, if two are keepers, it's a success.
Goldy & Libba. Im a massive fan of Fyfe but just think a broken leg and reported back issues in the last couple of months makes him a bit of a wait and see for now. Although if he looks !00% come rnd1, I dont think I would have the nerve to start without him. Lobbe on the other hand I have almost zero interest in at the moment

This is what I'm most worried about with Fyfe. Starting him could make or break our seasons. It is entirely possible he comes in and averages 135+ over his first 6 weeks and gets to a point where he's basically unattainable so early without seriously effecting your other upgrades. To go 2down/1up on one of your first upgrades really slows down the process of finishing your team.
I think it's more likely he comes in breathing fire, then he comes in putting out 110s.
Why no love for Lobbe? Structure? Or you just don't think he can average what's needed of him?
I agree that Lobbe seems a must have but I'm not quite sold on Libba, he performs absolutely dreadfully under a tag. Fair enough The Bont possibly gets a tag but he seemed to work through it quite well.
If I remember right Libbas best year coincided with Griffin and Minson both earning All Australian that year. With Griffin gone and Minson being a shadow of what he was that year, the question is what do we expect from Him?
Coaches know he's easy to tag out of games so you'd think he can expect a hard tag most weeks. I'm sheepish at best that he can get the 100 avg most coaches are expecting out of him.

Mate I share your fears about not starting Fyfe. If as you've stated you think him more likely to start the season " breathing fire" then I'd be advising doing everything you can to get him into your starting squad.
Lobbe I just see as a bit of a nothing pick- Can't see him being a top 3 ruck and at near 400k just don't see the appeal, and of all the lines on the field I've just found the rucks the hardest to fix if you get it wrong. For my starting squad as much as I'd like to fit in as many premium starters as possible, just as in life It should always be quality over quantity.
started him 2015, port have an okay opening draw and might start with a bang hopefully. more or less a lock for mine, hoping/thinking he can hit a 110 average.
I think Lids will ave around the 110+ mark. Pure class tigers best player, no tags anymore and just roams around the forward line/wing. He is always going to be on his own training plan so he can play 20 plus games. We need him out there.
