Nice. Also liking this:

"Mature-age recruit and dual Subiaco premiership forward Shane Yarran also cut an encouraging figure in his return following knee surgery late last year.

Yarran, 26, was drafted after two strong seasons in the WAFL.

His lateral movement in this morning’s session was an indication he remains on track to play some part in the club’s NAB Challenge matches, starting against Richmond at Bendigo Bank Stadium on February 19."
As good as he was in the WAFL he only averaged 11 disposals. Handy to have him as an option but I would still prefer a ball carrier.

David Swallow. I must admit I'm not across his injury history. Can someone enlighten me? He was a revelation in 2014 and started 2015 at $554,000. He's $416k this year.

I just realized as I type this that he is only available as a midfielder, which makes him pretty unattractive.
I'm pretty sure he damaged his PCL on two seperate occasions last year. Both requiring surgery, the second time ending his season. Apparenty, he said he may have rushed back a little quickly after the first occurence.

Gee modest numbers. Must fill a role or add depth as a small fwd for Freo otherwise not sure why they took him?

He's talented. Good mark, very good shot at goal, could be a good pick up for us although small forwards are not really our problem (Clarkson gets rid of Zac Dawson and picks up Gibson, Lake and Frawley. Lyon takes Zac on holidays with his family. Go figure). He was missed as a junior because he was hanging around with the wrong people and went to jail. Just not sure he will be good enough for what we want in supercoach.

How do you cork an ankle. I thought corkie related to muscle bruising? Not much muscle on an ankle.
I think sometimes the reporters aren't always particularly accurate in their rush to get out the story. However on this occasion, they might mean he got a a direct knock on one of the ankle bones. You can get bony bruising and sometimes swelling and it's pretty painful so they can go down like they've got a bad ligament injury, but turns out ok!

LOL! Yeah Clarkson and the hawks staff have been the recruiting masters over the years.

I guess worst case scenario. if there's a shortage of fwd rookies (which looks unlikely) he will at least provide some cover if he's JS is ok. Slow burner it sounds like though who will pop up every once in a while with a decent score.

I'll be willing to tip that Harley will play less than 12 games.

I've heard some reports also that he was looking a little ordinary today even though participating in full training. No doubt just a bit of fitness and NAB will show more

Listening to sports radio on way home (Perth) and discussions about Freo came up. Anthony Morabito getting a good mention in dispatches. Played in the back line in a recent internal scratch match (not sure about that description) but apparently did a great job and suggestions he could be a round 1 starter as a running backman if he holds up. Great story if he could get on the park for a whole season and we could see what he has got.

Definitely falls in the 'training the house down' category. Would need to be promoted off the rookie list, but I understand Freo have the room to make that move. You have to question what his match fitness is like not having played a game of footy in a long time and with the sub rule gone there isnt really the room to ease him back into the game...great story nonetheless and definitely one to watch and fingers crossed he makes it back to the top level

The old 'OP' injury has returned. Adam Treloar is struggling and is on a modified training program. #SuperCoach #AFLFantasy

Thanks for the update, sounds like Lids is fine (he had a training injury a few weeks back, but not much was reported about it).
