As others have pointed out above it's annoying that punching people to the head has been let go so often, but forgetting the lack of consistency with the worse incidents for a moment I think it is a reasonable call for Sloane to get a week given the risk involved in the spoil attempt and the high contact made.
I have trades to cover him but the timing is obviously tough for those without trades and/or decent cover like Menegola/Wills or a floating premium F7/M9.
Sounds like the MRP looked for reason to get him off but based on the medical report which showed Ebert suffered effects incl vision issues and was off for a significant time, they had no choice but to grade it medium.
If Sloane wanted to contest it, it would have been he was committed to spoiling and Ebert made some motion when Sloane was mid air which meant he couldn't change his actions. Don't think this would have been successful. I have sloane and will now field petracca or dunkley.
On Hawks incident, I thought this could have got a week given it was a deliberate punch and its meaningless that his first bounced off Lycett shoulder. However as Lycett didn't go off (I think) they deemed it below the level of force to warrant action. Personally think this was a bad decision as a closed fist has the risk of breaking a jaw and should have been hit with one week.
