2015 TOP AVERAGING FORWARDS (MIN 20 GAMES)

What is acceptable for a forward keeper? An average of 93+ would be a good start...

Come on, own up - who is not picking Martin? :)
For me it's looking like being either

Martin + Mid Rookie + 100k in bank for corrections vs Tippett + Brad Crouch

And atm I'm leaning towards the latter

I feel pretty confident that the winner of SC 2016 will have started Dusty, chopsticks and all. Just doesn't make sense to not pick him, find the funds for Tippo and Crouch elsewhere.

Guilty here :p There's a fair chance I won't start him.

Honestly not seeing why everyone sees him as such a lock. Why is he a "must start" player, as opposed to an upgrade target? Do people see him going huge in the first half of the year/improving his average significantly? Personally, I think it's likely that he sits in that 100-105 range, like he has his whole career. Yes, this is a good return, but he seems as popular around here as gaj, pendles and rockliff.

Montagna and Deledio can wait I think. I don't think they are bad picks though. If Deledio was fit then I'd start him because then he would be the number 1 forward. Montagna is very hard to predict, I'm not sure. Saints I think will have a good year with 8-10 wins, but won't make the 8 so methinks the kids might run through the mids more than Joey.

ATM I have Chopstick/Zorko/Barlow/Bad Driver. Zorko has probably peaked but I highly doubt he will go below 95. Although it looks like he scores better in the second half of the year based on the past 2 seasons. Tough one...

Martin a pretty safe starter for me. He has everything you want from a keeper (history of 22 games, premium scoring, solid preseason on the track). With the forwards being a bit more uncertain this year with 5 of those 12 from 2015 gone (including Roughy with his injury); Martin pretty firmly locked for me!

if i look at the top 10 forwards available i think that dusty has the least question marks about him so he is my first picked forward this year.

Mitch Robinson tempting; but with Tom Bell a new addition to the team and the expectation that Leppa will blood midfield time into Keays + Matheison, unsure of real mid-time over the course of a full season. Fantastic numbers to end 2015 though.

Re-Martin in my team but as for Dynamo too, only because I think all of the >$500k forwards are fully priced.

For potential average I'd prefer to have Lids over Martin as I think Lids has a higher ceiling, however Martin rarely misses games. In his six years he has played 21, 22, 20, 22, 21 and 22 games. Hence I think I will end up starting Martin.

What do you mean by Deledio being fit, hasn't he performed all of the preseason to date or have I missed something?

Whilst it is encouraging, Ross does have a tendency to deceive the avid SCer.
Spot on.
Note that Lyon said "we want to play him more inside mid" rather than "we are going to play him more inside mid".
Two very different things and while his comments are promising, I don't think he made any promises :p

Exactly what I am saying. Ross has never been a great believer in helping out us SCer's ;) :p

Remember this is Ross Lyon, I don't believe a word he says therefore he is a sure thing to play as a forward. But hes still in my team :D
