Pick ONE keeper mid between 520k and 600k aside from Rockliff and Wines who are already in my midfield.
T. Mitchell. Have had man love for him since he was drafted. Looking forward to the days when he is an absolute lock in the fantasy football world.

JPK or Sloane are solid. POD picks could be Treloar, Steven or Sidebottom who can all bust out some big numbers and with some consistency could break a 110 average this season.

Gray, JPK, Treloar, Ward, Sloane, Selwood, Mitchell, Sidebottom, Shiel, Macrae, Cotchin, Parker, Boak & Adams are some of your options.

Nothing your 'Keeper' preference, it would have to be: JPK>Gray>Selwood>Ward

For Value: Sidebottom>Sloane>Cotchin>Boak

For Young Guns: Mitchell>Shiel>Macrae>Parker>Treloar

Wells at F5 + Trengove (MEL) + Ashby vs Forward Rookie + Midfield Rookie + Hurn at D5 (or B.Smith)
I'd be wary of Jason Ashby, I think he will only be good for 40-55 type scores. This is his make or break year, his strengths are his ability to read play to intercept mark and is a fairly dogged defender type. However his kicking skills are atrocious. He will turn over the ball which SC wise will be penalised. Even at the training session I went to 10 days ago he missed a target by 3m under little pressure which had myself and others around me groaning. For his sake I hope he can figure out how to make his kicking less of a liability.

SC wise I suppose it will come down to what other defensive rookie options we have. If Ashby gets games at least he should be a slow burner cow, and not being KPD maybe he has a greater chance of pulling out one higher scoring game to boost his cash making over 3 weeks.

Kade Kolodjashnij VS Jamie Macmillan??
KK is more durable and is more likely to keep up his average given Macmillan just had his peak year, and may well be the best of his career. KK, however, most likely has a 90+ career ahead of him.

If fit, Selwood by a mile.

Failing that, JPK. If you do the calcs on a PIT basis and he would likely be a top eight mid even if he just replicates last year. Don't need him to improve, even though he's scored better in the past.

My analysis indicates that Sloane doesn't have much experience getting a tag/scoring well with one, but if you somehow get comfort on that, he'd probably go to top of the list given Selwood's fitness issues.

Bartel + Libba vs Weitering + Danger?
Option one easily for me. Weitering is a young KPD and top-priced rookie, none of which sounds attractive to me. I also think the consensus is probably a bit bullish on Danger (although I did recently bring him in). The first option includes almost everyone's lock defender and the cheapest player in the comp :)

Boomer F4 & Wells F5 v Wells F4 & Gibbs M6
I was going to say the Boomer option easily, but thought about it a little more.

Gibbs is cheaper than Boomer and may outscore him. He might be a similar pick to Jack Steven last year, who was excellent for me - I basically straight swapped him for Beams around the byes when he was averaging around 110 or so, from memory.

With that said, I picked Steven as a clear stepping stone, on the basis that the Saints had a great early draw. Gibbs may not have quite enough upside to be a good stepping stone, and it's actually Boomer's team that have the best draw pre-byes. Clearly a stepping stone involves a trade as well, whereas I see Boomer as a solid keeper.

So the short version is "still option one", but perhaps more narrowly than I initially thought.

^^ Thanks. Some food for thought there.
The decision may depend on available Fwd and Mid rookies as well.

KK

I just don't trust J Mac's legs.
Have another choice here ;
KK and Smith VS Laird and Eski

having Simpson and Bartel already
