Hey MrM,
no I would still take Robbo. I think he has upside. Second year at a new Club, and showed something when the opportunity arose late last season. That opportunity still exists, so I think he has a chance to re-define himself somewhat in SC-terms. Zorko seems to have pegged himself as a 98 - 103 type player, and outside of a spike, and I think that's his range.

Both those are wait and see. When will Beams be back, and what happens to Robbo? If he looks to affected, I will just have to sideways him out.
Thanks for the reply and i hope that your own team hasn't suffered too much while trying to answer a million questions, gl !

LOL, my team suffers more from my fiddling. The questions take up fiddling time, so that's a good thing!
Good luck to you too.

Hi Rowsus, I just felt the need to thank you for all the statistics and analysis you provide, this thread and your analysis of 2015 have been invaluable this preseason. I also have to say that the kind and patient manner in which you respond to peoples' questions is genuinely heart-warming.

Thanks again for all the help and the best of luck for the season.

I haven't hit you up this year Rowsus, but I have one for you. (or anyone else who would like to comment)

My defence:
Boyd, Laird, Sheridan, Lonergan, Weitering, Dea, (Adams, Uber) with Tippa in forwards to swing with Adams and Uber.

I have no BenKen, Libba, Hewett or Papley.
I do have B Ah Chee, B. Crouch and Milera (Will keep Crouch, think his game was ok, took a chance with Ah Chee but he didn't get much of it this week)
I have Danger and McCarthy left this week to play and have a score of 1917 so far.
Is there any merit in swapping Danger with Bartel this week and next week ps off Dea, swing Bartel to Defence, hence freeing up cash for corrections etc and suring up defence with only one rookie playing each week loopholing with Uber.

Or just keep Danger.

Thanks

Personnally id keep danger and trade dea to papley via tippa should free up enough cash to go ahchee to libba find a way to get ben ken following week

Thanks davo.

I would then lose F/D floating donut link, but I spose it is more useful in defence anyway.

I guess the answer is "ideally none", but what should we be expecting to use in terms of trades over the first 2 rounds (i.e. Before 1st price changes) - is there a "par" number?

Most need at least 2 corrective trades, I will say par is 2.5-3.

How did round one go for you Rowsus? More importantly, how do you feel about your team going forward?

2202 and a Ranking of 21k, which surprised me a little. I thought 2202 might get me 12-15k.
Only 6 100+ scores, with Fyfe, Barlow, Robbo, McGovern letting the team down.
I'm ok with my team, and won't trade this week, unless Robbo is out 3+ weeks.
Might bring in Papley and Weitering the week after.

How about you, Darkie?

I did pretty well this week Row scoring 2359, but I'm in a similar position as you as I don't have either Papley or Weitering. To bring them in I'd drop either the worst performing of Gresham or Dunkley, likely Gresham at this stage, and roll Menadue into the Mids & replace him with Papley.

Weitering would be a straight swap with Dea.

Would it be worth burning 2 trades for potentially 10-20pts per game per player max over the next 7-10 rounds before they're traded out? Obviously, Weitering would be the last defender shipped out as he looks pretty handy.

$18k for highest scoring league in round 1 means a lot of people would have made throwaway accounts.
