As I have loaded my forward line somewhat, so for me, LolRicho is a better choice to make use of the rookies in the backline - he also pairs nicely with Goodes with his DPP - of course different for everyone.

I am sure I am telling everyone how to suck eggs but it helps my reasoning work... Anyone else, please feel free to correct me where I am wrong.

Rookies are where I see the biggest points risk is and where you want to use the E loophole. North's late draw is such that you might get a few hits at the E loophole as well as the C loophole if you set it up right.

I know it is giving up increase in cash flow, but to use this strat successfully imo, you need to have a 'never playing' player - that also means you need all of your other team selections to be playing selections and have little fat in the side. This makes me worried about my R4 (Daw) - happy to carry Rowe at F8 and do expect him to play, but I don't want to carry 2 non-playing selections round 1 + the Krispy floater. Don't think I have much choice now actually with Rowe locked - there are three selected players in the Ruck rookie price range and I have them all!

Jay, I love that 1% of people have selected LolRicho (19th from 45 in the NM list) in their team, 1.4% have selected Speight (10th from 45 in the NM list)!

Yeah I currently have mid pricers in the forward line, more due to the fact there are no rookies to choose from.

I actually think Caff on bench will match most of these mid pricers. Someone like JJK is pretty volatile so emergency with Caff will help avoid his low scores.

The Goodes DPP is not very useful, because you are either going to have to make Goodes your (E) or (S).

Whereas someone like Neade is always going to be on your bench and you can utilize the DPP along with Speight.

I like the CamRicho a lot more if you were to pick someone like Frost who I am not keen on.

Which back rookies does everyone have? Don't have Luke Brown and not keen on Frost myself.

Has anyone looked at going Speight/Neade combination with PK/Caff interchanging as Emergency?

The thing with Goodes, he will always be an emergency or substitute, where Neade will always lie on your bench and you can use the DPP when he stops getting games once Gray/Hitchcock are back.

Pittard, Stevenson, Brown and Goodes in the back for me. Heath is another option for you Quickie.

I disagree on Goodes always being an E or sub - I think he has a good chance of playing all games for the Dogs and having a good avg while doing it. NAB avgs for full games (and yes, they don't mean that much) - Goodes = 78.5, Stevenson = 74.7, Pittard = 61.5. Pittard might have a higher ceiling, Stevenson a better consistency, but I think Goodes has the best JS.

I see Caff as a bench cash cow only (only avg 51 in the NAB), lower returns than other fwd options and possibly lower JS than other Pies small forwards (when they come back).

E or S in terms of the loop hole not for the Bulldogs :D I think Caff will easily average 80+.

If I had Brown/Frost, I would look at CamRicho for sure, but can see more benefit with using it in the forward line with my setup.

Yes. Since Vlastuin has played, it won't work for me this week. But i rate Goodes as less likely to score higher than PK or Caff...so i might just go lolrich and wait until next week to use it properly

Really? LOL I guess people have read my articles as there is no reason why people would pick them since they are Rookie Listed and not even budget rookie price of $96,200 (but rather $115,900)

I'm thinking it might be more efficient to go Speight over CamRicho with Terlich omission. Frost should be named but I'm not too keen on him and rather load up on Port Adelaide defenders (Heath, Pittard, Stevenson + Goodes)

Lets assume you have Neade/Caff on forward bench F7/F8. If you use Speight/Neade floating donut combination, Caff won't be wasted on bench because you can use the emergency with the forward mid pricers (Karnezis/Varcoe/JJK/Byrnes/Harper/Siposs/etc).

Also wouldn't surprise me if Neade turns into a floating donut after 3-4 rounds, so if you have Speight at least Neade won't be stuck in the forwards.

Thoughts Jay?

At least Dwyer getting a game eliminates the decision between Dwyer v North Floating Donuts. Note: You can choose Ben Kennedy (MID/FWD) in lieu of Sam Dwyer.

I haven't done the full analysis with Speight v lolRicho, but as discussed you need to look at the bench. I'm choosing lolRicho as I've worked out the combo and permu and if you done it correctly and have L.Brown then you are already up. I think IDIG has used the Floating Donut correctly and has L.Brown(e) and Kommer(e), so his Floating Donut is in the midfield and gets Kommer's score but avoids L.Brown.

If you have the players in my example, then lolRicho is preferred.

I have Goodes(e) as my bench player for now.

I'll be using Colquhoun as Captain with Stevenson(e) to check out VC Ablett's score FIRST. If happy with Ablett's score all good. If not happy with Ablett's score I will change the Captaincy to Pendles before the Port game. I like being able to see Ablett's score first on this occasion.

Can I wait and see how Josh Kennedy (VC) is going before the GC match starts, and if he's killing it at HT, make Ablett (E) and CRich (C)?

Not sure you can touch your squad whilst Syd and GWS are playing.
This rolling lock out stuff takes some getting used to but it won't stop at any stage in season.

What criteria are you choosing for who goes Emergency?

Who ever plays first or who you think will be best/worst scoring?

Great mate.

Hope you didn't have Ablett, but you can't really blame the Floating Donut if you locked in 147.

I actually put Goodes(e) too with an adapted Floating Donut.

And this illustrates the beauty of the floating donut. I myself have used it to decent effect this week locking in safe bench points from Kommer and getting a second look at my skipper (thanks Danger!).

I was a Floating Donut convert (thanks Jay).

Went with LOLRicho on field in the mids with Jaeger Bomb as an emergency and GAJ as VC (Swan intial C choice).
Very happy to keep LOLRicho on field with the C (M.Jones on the bench in mids).
