Supercoach has been full of stories like that! People who have spent months planning and then got locked out of the site because the server crashed an hour before the first bounce. Or going camping and not having any signal! My mistake was threefold. I had Grimley instead of Cox as my 3rd ruck. I got on the sauce and did not realize Grimley had been named on the extended bench. I capitains loopholed him and had Goldy on the pine. Ended up with 30 for my capitain and missed Goldies 120 :( Never recovered.

I remember a time when goldy went huge and many of us had vc on him but one rather well known forumite didn't even have him in his team.:rolleyes::rolleyes: I won't mention names so he dosen't get embarrassed.

Yes I think it was, I wasn't there but there were a few posts and subsequent "discussions" about his decision not to have goldmember in his side.

Haha yes, the shame! The organiser of our league in 2015 did not start with Goldy and lost his first 9 games! He could never get enough cash to get him in either as Goldy went 140, 150 180 200!

I think it was the game he scored 213 that is the one a certain nameless individual became scarred for life, vowing never to start without goldy again.

Yes nameless will probably prefer to remain anonymous...

Nevertheless I shall send him some 'Is Don Is Good' smallgoods over to the Rads when his first baby arrives in the next month...

At least 'said' poor individual is still involved.
Our former organiser did not fare so well. Was forced into early retirement, scarred for life.
Today he can be found, institutionalised, with rocking chair and blanket muttering to himself..... but intermittently screaming "nahhh Goldstein"!

Hahaha we really do need a cry emoticon here.

With that said, I had some support that night when a certain fellow mod decided it would be a good idea (and act of comradery) to not put the VC on him that night. I too won't mention names but I'd like to thanh him for his act of kindness.

Hi everyone,

My names Nathan, I'm 28 and I live on the Mornington Peninsula.

A work colleague of mine, got me into Supercoach and this is my 2nd year.

I am a musician and play Guitar,Bass,Drums,Vox and am skiled in Music Theory.

I play in a Beatles Tribute band, as 'Paul McCartney', where I have to learn his basslines and sing his lead and harmony vocal lines.

As well as music, I am a massive Bombers fan, have been since I was born.. (Born into an Essendon family.. "Once a bomber, always a bomber")

I like the strategy behind Supercoach, it's the only way I can legitimately care about players and teams outside of the Bombers hahaha.

Thanks for making me welcome and I look forward to talking to other members this year.

My Supercoach team is Nath's Bombers (Fitting right??)

Cheers,

Nath

Awesome record mate. Looking forward to reading some of your thoughts. Virtual sports might give you a discount if you've been out for a couple of years!!!!

G'day Gents

Doesn't seem like there is enough here so I decided I should join as another Essendon member..

I'm a part time business analyst, part time youth pastor in Western Victoria. Love statistics and Excel spreadsheets so this website has kept me entertained on many different occasions.
Have done a lot of reading across the pages here so thought it was about time I added something to the conversation.

Love supercoach and over analysing everything fills up way more time for me than it should . This year hoping to keep my finishing position trending in the same direction of the last few years but current ruck set up has almost got me throwing in the towel.

Enjoy a bit of golf in spare time if it ever comes up, married with 0 kids and currently planning an overseas trip for the middle of this year that has me wondering how I can keep on top of the important things like multi bye trading and team setting :S

Welcome to the site bwright, great intro.

As a bombers supporters, you're obviously a very intelligent man no doubt. Stats and Excel is right up our alley here...and over-analysing is pretty much the trifecta haha
