Thanks gents, I think I've now figured out two things:

(1) How to access this info - thanks for the tip. Seems odd that this info displays in one area but not the other, but that's kind of irrelevant now I can access it :)

(2) The rucks do add up to far less than 300%, even if you include all of the R-F options as rucks. I've drawn the conclusion that there must be a lot of incomplete teams saved - the "average" player only has about 2 1/2 rucks selects at this stage, including Ryder and the like who seem more likely to be forwards.
Top 15 rucks over $200k add up to about 170pct. The 16th is about 2pct owned.

The top 5 cheapies add up to about 50pct.

This suggests you are right amd that our assumption that only good coaches have logged in is false!

I generally use 60pct benchmark of coaches know why they are doing, hence, most picked player is generally around this level. Fyfe is 55pct, so this made up rule looks like holding for now. ;)

Sounds like a pretty good rule of thumb. David Myers 51%, I'd say he's 100% in all RMTs I've seen so far.

Interesting that the percentages aren't just changing, they are also increasing more or less across the board. It looks like a lot of those incomplete teams are heading towards being complete!

I must say, it seems very disciplined of a lot of coaches to save an incomplete team, presumably only including players they are very happy with ... some people I know would be tempted to fill out all 30 slots, so they can see how many mid premiums they can afford

I had a saved incomplete team up until yesterday, just added rookies as they were talked up but you can't use analyser with an incomplete team so just threw in likely names.

Wondering if the intelligent auto pick feeds off popularity?
could be.....or herd mentality as everyone checks coaches choices and reads the herald sun best suggestions.

Interesting Beams dropping off and Swallow picking up.

Also Roughy and Heeney similar numbers and Macrae is lower.

I'm surprised Macrae has dropped out.

Also interesting to see that at least 20% of coaches are paying attention, removing Myers after his LTI. I must admit I haven't done so myself yet, so it must be more than 20%!

Macrae might be a victim of the rookie stocks looking to be skewed to the forward line

I wonder if he was dropped by novice coaches due to his poor JLT score

I think the drop in Macrae is structural override choices people are making. They look to be going light in premium in fwd line to compensate back line, where rookies are looking more scarce. also round 11 concerns ma be a factor. I currently have him, Dahl and Heeney and trying to o***et round11 elsewhere.

FWD line only has 1 premium and two mid prices in top 10.
DEF has 4 premiums in top 10 and a range of expensive to cheap rookies.

mids and rucks have circa 4 premiums as well.

Backline rookies look the best to me.
Maybe Nathan. Look at the drop in def rookies in the top 10. Mitch Hibberd, McGrath, Keefe, Scharenberg were average scorers in week 1 so far, Berry hasn't played due to injury, Ryan @ Freo hasn't been picked. Seen some other good scorers such as Otten last night, however, is he best 22.

Many SC'ers run live changes through their system, hence Ryan not picked sees him out of the side until proven otherwise. I dropped Myers (appreciate a mid) due to poor score, prior to injury, same methodology.

Hampton, EVW, Stewart good, will Newman, Smith be picked? whereas fwd, people are prepared to back McCluggage Bowes etc despite some iffy scoring as they were high draft picked.

Main point was providing a view on why Macrae fell out of top 10. Hope def rookies/cash cows come through as I had had 6-7 in my team for a while (currently 6 - with no McGrath)!

On macrae unless you think he's 5-10 ppg underpriced then I'd guess Heeney may have taken his spot in some sides after his game last week. That plus the evolving rookie situation as I said.
