I'd like to say this will be my final team, but will have to wait and see when teams come out! Fairly happy with my team, anyone who wishes to give feedback whether that be positive or negative feel free to do so!

DEF: Rance, Laird, Howe, Lloyd, Hampton, Vickers-Willis (Otten, Stewart)
MID: Dangerfield, Kennedy, Treloar, Bont, Fyfe, Beams, Powell-Pepper, Barrett (Miles, Hibberd, Parfitt)
RUCK: Martin, Sandilands (Strnadica)
FWD: Riewoldt, Dahlhaus, Roughead, Nankervis, Hoskin-Elliot, Eddy (Black, Butler)

Depending on team selections, Martin and Hoskin-Elliot could be altered. If Archie Smith is picked i will downgrade Hoskin-Elliot to Kayne Turner and then pick up Grundy, but am hopeful he isn't as Martin has a very favourable ruck draw early. Was keen on Taranto but he really would only have to have one poor game to be in the twos, compared to WHE who IMO would have more job security. Feel free to let me know what you think :)
DEF: Risky line with neither of Doch/Shaw/Adams. I think these 3 will be top 10 defenders (if not, dare I say top 6 by seasons end), and may hurt as you will only be able to pick two of them as you have 4 keepers without any of them those 3 already in your team. I did a very similar backline last year and went POD... did not work out too well for me. Howe over Adams could have some merit though. Don't let my words sway you though if you think Howe is a better pick than Adams. Would just be wary of the potential points lost if LLoyd doesn't match the output of the Doch/Shaw/Adams types.

MID: Like the midfield premos. Be wary of Barrett, hope he does get upgraded soon.

RUC: Martin... don't do it! Burnt me too much last year. With Stef not getting any younger (31yo) and the lions looking towards the future, I find it almost impossible for the lions not to play archie smith at some point this year. With Stef being your keeper, it may hurt sometime throughout the year. If trying to be around that price/POD pick, why not Hickey for 30k cheaper as a saints man? You would know more than me obviously, but from an outside perspective, I like Hickey as a POD pick over Stef. Grundy a good choice too.

FWD: Fwd line looks solid, except Black to a cheaper rookie should one present itself.

Appreciate the feedback! I'm pretty confident in my backline.

Taylor Adams has never played more than 18 games in a season and with Beams and Sandi already in my team i cant justify selecting him at all! Howe excites me too much to not pick him! He seems fairly durable and seems to have a fulltime floating roll loose in defence which is good enough for me. Rance is in my team because he plays the most supercoach-friendly style of game i've ever seen sometimes, he never really racks up possessions but always scores well and this year it'll be for my team. Lloyd is logically the 'next man up' with heeney and mcveigh out for a while, even if he spuds it up he's expensive enough to make a corrective trade with too much hassle

I am wary of Martin, especially with Archie Smith. Being a saints man is the reason i didnt get Hickey hahaha thought my good thoughts on him were biased, will wait and see.. Would be convenient if Smith was named tbh then it gets rid of the Martin thought entirely. Agreed on Black, will see when teams are named.

DEF: Cookie cutter backline. Nothong wrong here.

MID: Very strong premium wise going 6 deep. Some concerns with lack of mid rookies with Barrett onfield. Will have to wait and see if he gets named.

RUC: Cookie cutter ruckline. Nothing wrong here.

FWD: Love the forward line. With new of Cameron getting a game, I think you need him as R/F rookies are hard if not impossible to come by. Whether you have him at R3 or on ur fwd bench. In this cas though, I would ditch Miles and take Cameron on ur fwd bench.

Another great team!
Loving your work on here mate! Cheers for the advice, I'll fit Cameron in somewhere and make other decisions when teams come out.

My team is looking like a tray of gingerbread men. I guess for me they are the most tasty around.
Good luck everyone!

After reading the herald sun top 30 picks I have counted that I have 24 of the most popular players.
So does that mean I have nailed it or do we all have no idea

25 here... People are copying my team ;-)

I'm sure there's enough difference in our teams still to either plummet below or soar above the masses.

You can basically BOLD Beams too and potentially Roughy or at least Italics him. Well balanced team overall. Tuohy a nice risky pick down back that I think could pay off. Grundy for POD ruck is nice to see.

Not sure I understand what you mean. Care to elaborate a little more?

Are you suggesting that you start DEF/MID prems in the middle? If so I think with the lack of back rookies atm, that would be the wrong approach. There also aren't that many DEF/MID eligible players.

Adams, Kelly & Vince are the only 3 premo ones I can think of from the top of my head. (Hibberd the D/M rookie)

Interested in what specifically you didn't like about the structure Prochard? Personally not keen on Tuohy or Grundy, however, didn't seem to out of whack unless you prefer a 4 premium back.
