That's one shrewd punter if I ever saw one...

Risking $637 for a likely return of $3,280 or $3,600...potentially making around a 540% return on his investment.

If you're still taking bets, then I'll take the same ticket as Rowsus!:p
Are the gets through unscathed and winds back the clock and plays a blinder mutually exclusive?

Actually not risking anything!
1st one gets me my $1,001 outlay back.
2nd one makes me a $2,607 profit.
3rd one makes me a $2,635 profit.
Break even, or massive profit.

....... I may even double up, and place the same bets again! ;)

Current Odds on how he plays:

4/7 - Gets reinjured in game

10/1 - Gets thru the game unscathed

100/1 - Winds back the clock and plays a blinder

Hope his body can hold up for the rest of the season, will be interesting to see how he fits into the forward line.

Don't think they can afford to play Stevie J & Lids up there with no forward half pressure.

No. Neither are the "gets reinjured in the game", and the "winds back the clock, and plays a blinder".
From a bookmaking point of view, the market is framed so that they are. It is like flow chart.
Fork 1 - did he get reinjured in the game? Yes - bet ends here, pay those that backed an injury. No - go to fork 2.
Fork 2 - did he turn back the clock, and play a blinder? Yes - pay out the 100/1 bets, No - pay out the 10/1 bets.

Or throwing $1001 out the window when he is a late out :(

Nope. He gets deemed to be a "non-starter", and all bets are refunded.
For not to count as a "non-starter", backing him to not play would need to be an option.

Don't forget to read the fine print when opening an account with Bookie Sloth, in particular "One must turn over all winnings 600 times before being eligible to withdraw funds from their account."

Yep turn it over not just once, not twice, but 600 times! :p

If he keeps offering markets set to 74%, I won't have any problem hitting the 600 times turnover! :p

Did anyone see the supercoach survey? Didn't even list supercoachscores as a source of information!
I asked for a big bright C, V and E to highlight captain, vice captain and emergency rather than a light pastel shade that only an interior decorator can see.
I also think a warning should come up to suggest an emergency hasn't been nominated for a particular line. Seems to catch out a lot of people.

Usain Bolt finished 3rd in the 100 m World Championship final overnight.

The reign is over.

8 Olympic Golds , 11 World Championship Golds.

Hi all, have been racking my brain trying to remember the website that used to have tables showing players scoring history by opponent and ground? Can anyone recall this website and does it still exist?

Cheers

Broken Hill boy Dean Solomon will coach the last 3 games , very highly rated.

After McKenna and now Eade they need to get the next coach right.

7 seasons and they don't look like playing finals.
In hindsight it appears Eade was the wrong choice. Big decision looming, the next coach could define the Club for many years to come.

Yeah can't recall who else was in the mix at that time.

I guess they wanted someone to stabilise the club and introduce culture.

Managed to lose Bennell , Dixon , O'Meara , Prestia , Smith and probably others in that time.

AFL.com has a list of likely names on their website.

I think you would want to know if Ablett was staying/going/retiring before accepting the position.

If I was the new coach I'd want Ablett gone. The club will never move forward while one player is bigger than the team.
