Hahaha been trying to work out how I went from the article to this page and managed to go hand to ankle without second thought!

Hmm righto well thats not great news. While I've got you here Ben, do you think Hogan will maintain his current role of kind of being everywhere? Or risk of him being moved back deep forward when injuries/tactics don't go well for dees?
I think Hogan is doing such a great job that it's unlikely his role will change all season. Although the FD have done some weird things this season so can't rule anything out.

I brought Hogan into my team on the weekend so I have faith in him maintaining his role and scoring ability.

LITS, which new rookies should we keep an eye on now that both venables and Ryan are LTIs? Are Petruccelle and Ainsworth like for like? Do you think they will get extended runs and ones to have in our trade plans?
Ainsworth is an in and under mid, But we have mentioned several times in the pre-season he will start as a small forward, So he could nab Venables spot. He has been an EMG several times so far this year so should get a gig this week though JS isn't assured with Ah Chee coming back and playing his first game in the WAFL this week. He may only play the 1 week in the WAFL then come straight into the team.

Petruccelle a tall mid coming from a basketball background. Has blistering speed (Fastest player in last years draft). He could come in for Shuey, Though Shuey is not definitely ruled out just yet... And if he is, It will only be the 1 week. So not good JS for Petruccelle either. Our full injury report drops this afternoon.

Rioli & Waterman should keep playing but the boat has passed on Waterman and Rioli will be a slow burn. Ainsworth, Petruccelle, Watson, Brander and maybe Oscar Allen later in the season might all debut this year, But will be hard for them to lock down spots for any significant time to be worthwhile SC picks.

LITS, any chance you think Ainsworth replaces Redden?

That's interesting, you would think Ainsworth the likely replacement for Venables this week. But after that and depending on how Ah Chee goes in the WAFL... maybe Ainsworth holds his spot and maybe Redden makes way for AH Chee.

Redden has certainly been very disappointing and not what we had hoped for this season. Maybe the rise of Masten this year has affected Redden.

Edit... and as the Injury report drops, Redden listed as a test with a sore shin. Shuey & Sheppard they say should play against Carlton.

And worst news confirmed for Venables, 10-12 weeks with a similar injury to Ryan.

**** him off is what it means
I'm thinking for League games.

GWS being conservative might mean we won't rush Josh Kelly, but when he returns to playing, then he could be a top 8 Midfielder this year. So, be patient, save a trade, and he'll be back in 2 weeks.
OR
GWS are saying, "a week by week proposition", because they are not sure how long the groin healing will take, so it might take 5 weeks or more.

Hmmm, I need more info to make a decision.

Think i'm gonna hold Kelly for another week, wait until Dangerfield has another price drop, then if Kelly still isn't back the week after trade Kelly to Danger. Kelly also has a B/E of 155, so in a way it's good as Kelly's price won't drop.

They also said if he trains tomorrow and gets through it then Kelly is a chance for this weekend. Rory Lobb they said will train tomorrow and is a chance for this weekend if he gets through it.

Looking at the language I would think Kelly 0-25% chance to play this weekend however a good chance for next week. I dont think I could ascertain whether he has been training at all in the last few days, appeared not.

I would wait one more week. Whilst they mentioned it has been an issue in the past I am not aware of him missing any games for it. GWS are travelling well, have an easier game and given injuries are not wanting to take risks.

Good news is ZGL sounds like he is 75% chance to play this weekend.

Fantastic new for Giles-Langdon (ZGL) owners, or those looking to bring him in:

"In good news, recently re-signed forward Zac Langdon’s broken hand has progressed ahead of schedule with the small forward in contention to make his return to face St Kilda."
This changes my trade plans as I wasn’t expecting him to be back for 2-3 weeks. Fingers crossed it is this week (and not next) when Mirra and Guelfi are on the bubble as well.

Dr Google says that rest is how to fix groin issues, so how long will GWS rest him, hmmm?

Regarding that Josh Kelly's groin has been an issue in the past, that doesn't give me confidence to keep him. They have obviously managed his groin in the past, but it may be getting worse now???

For me it would be better if he came back the week after next...
Using 9 trades by round 7 is ok right?

Oops I meant it would be better this week (or the week after next). Next week is no good though otherwise I’ll just go early with him I think.
