230/0 (4 scores)

I hesitated about bringing in Laughlin for Lehmann because I wanted to keep a trade up my sleeve. Costly - I had better find the right SGW player to bring in now!

510 with 6/16 played.

My trades this week- in:
Head - the obvious choice
Laughlin- thought he was overdue for a good game as he's a decent bowler.
Wells - expected him to open, didn't have time to check batting order and change to Short and got very lucky.

Very happy with the ins tonight. Realistically things could be somewhat balanced out in the second game though.

Out: Curran, NCN & Henriques. Two of them didn't have another DGW and NCN possibly has peaked in price. Perhaps should have kept NCN instead of Pattinson.

Need my 4 Renegades players to fire and things are looking promising for a top 20 rank after this round (23rd currently).
pretty good chance to go top 5 with that start.

Anyone just look at their side and have no idea who to bench? Looking to leave out 3 of DC/Nabi/cutting/henriques/Boyce/Mujeeb/Bryant.

I’m thinking Henriques/Bryant/??? to miss

and on Sunday it could be all reversed , such is the nature of this game
You are right of course. Just got caught up with my heavy regret.

In Hindsight, Short looks like such a stupid trade-
A depleted Stars batting lineup versus a reknowned bowling outfit (where all the bowlers score 80+), and I hurriedly rush in the "allrounder" who doesn't bowl and is averaging 16 with the bat . It was his third score of 1, and he only scored above 16 once- what the hell was I thinking?
I just need to be smarter than that with my trades.

It's okay though, I have refocused this morning and am ready to cheer on my lame duck Short on Sunday! :)

trust me , even when I go back and use hindsight picks and teams I still stuff it up.

Strikers were without Siddle & Stanlake , so Laughlin & Neser stood up , Agar and O'Connor getting wickets and for once not overly relying on Khan.

Head will always bowl himself at Spotless who knows their 5 spin bowling options might share 15 overs.

Short was a gamble that still could pay off.

You and others are not going to improve your position though by bringing in the same players as everyone else does.

Just pace yourself on Sunday with 3 games on.

SGW played: B Dunk, D Bravo
SGW players still to come: D Sams, M Nabi, M Ur Rahman, C Lynn, N Coulter-Nile
DGW players: T Head, R Khan (C), C Ingram, B Laughlin

Ecstatic with the start to the round as it's the 1st time time this season that 2 of my new recruits have scored 50+(T Head and B Laughlin) and roughly 4 or 5 debutants before this round had scored 50+. Will trade 3 strikers next week and keep 1 on the bench which will likely be R Khan whilst Head will be used to finally select D Short for his double and J Archer will be brought off the bench for their double.

sad news for patto.
on the supercoach side of things, head and patto will be 2 outs this round to get in short and archer. going to have to trade out someone I want to keep and get in a real cheapie. that 45k I lost due to week 5's botched trades is going to hurt.
