Gotta resist the urge to change my side after one quarter of pre-season football...

But if Cripps finally has some help in there and doesn't have to carry the whole team week after week then I don't think I can really leave him out.

I think the 6-6-6 rule is giving him more time on the ball because the flankers aren't coming in to disrupt him. I think he would be almost as good with help but I also see Carlton being slightly better this season and as a consequence he will get more score involvements.

Initial thoughts are:

- teams that rely on bottling it up at stoppages might be found out this year (SYD, WBU etc) ... not a great match so far though to really commit to that notion yet yet ...
- Free running unaccountable defenders .... mmm ... need to see some more games ...
- Clearance midfielders that have composure and elite skills ... might consider Pendles ... but I'd like to see the ESS tackle count post game ...
- Not as sold on the CAR rookies as most are ... started well and then drifted ... OK for bench cover but don't want any on field apart from maybe Walsh who looks to have a good connection with Cripps ...

Is it just me or is Zerrett looking a fair bit heavier than lat year?
