Same here. Now I just need to decide who makes way for him.
Same here, probably going to be one out of Dusty or J Kelly for me. Dusty is relatively underpriced but I think he's only getting back to a 110 average and Kelly is an injury risk despite his massive ceiling. Probably Kelly for the cash.

Brayshaw 5 mins before 3/4 time

DT 106 - SC 78 (source tv)

That's always the worry with him, he can have those 30 disposal 90 point games.

DE currently 66% with 6 Clangers.

Ouch six clangers! And that’s in a practice match where you wouldn’t think there’s as much pressure.

Dusty or Macrae for me for similar reasons. Macrae is such a painful pick. I really can’t feel good about it but then FOMO kicks in. I think he’s much more likely to punish me than Dusty which is swaying that way at this very early stage.

If you reckon that Martin will go 110 you gotta pick him at his price imo. Has played a fair bit on the ball in this one. Poor first quarter but good recovery since then.

I recall Fyfe had poor DE earlier in his career but was able to improve it, which saw his scoring improve accordingly. Feels like Brayshaw will be the same. I still like him though but not sure I’ll pick him.

I would usually agree but the only thing is I think that this year we could have multiple mids going 115+. I would say Oliver, Cripps, Kelly, Macrae, Neale and Fyfe will all go 115+ with most going 115-120.

At 110 he's only bettering his average by about 6, so he's not massively underpriced either.

Macrae will get tagged a few times in the early rounds I reckon but he's a player you'll probably need to get in asap.

That's 6/8 midfielders, you can't start them all and have a decent set of players on the other lines. Last season only 8 midfielders went 110+, the bottom four of that 8 were < 115. I think you need to look at some value, whether that is Dusty, Merrett, Matt Crouch or a complete bolter like a Steele type.

Yeah I certainly agree for the most part I just reckon if you have the spare 50-60k and you can pick 5 of those guys to start with, you can. It's also no guarantee that Dusty does average 110. In terms of how many mids can go big this year I think it's a case of the cream rising to the top as the new generation of talent takes hold and Gazza, Pendles, Jelwood and co pass on the baton.

Yeh the 119 ppg was a spike year if you look at his historical averages. I'm not saying that Martin is the player to take, just that a 110+ is usually good for at least a top 10 mid finish.

Yeah that's absolutely right, the only thing I would say is his role has changed the past 3 years and he's played 10% + more mid time than he did in the seasons prior. So with more mid time he's really gone 108, 119 and 103.

6 of the top 10 backing up a top 10 result would be historic for SC.

Not been done since Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury, Watson, Dangerfield, Selwood backed up 2012 in 2013.

That's not counting Dangerfield who seems likely to be in that 115-120 range too.

Which ones will drop out - who knows. It could even be a historic year. But certainly think statistically it's playing with fire to start 5 of the top 10 from the year before and just expect them to all go 115+.
