Leaning towards this too ... so many midfielders but only one stands out for me ... possibly ... but a long stretch at the moment
- Libba injured early last year didn't really change the scores of MacRae, Dunkley etc
- McLean injured mid year benefited Dunkley ...
- Bont playing forward is a shame as he really should be a mid ...
- So many unknowns in that side .... one good year among a decade of mediocre performances IMO ...

If not enough good cheap Mid Rookies start Rd1, then I may have to start one of Libba or Miles in the midfield.
Yeah, lots of scenarios at this stage, but I want to be ready if I need a $300K to $400K player in the midfield.
Also, at this stage, I think they could help make enough money for an upgrade to a premium mid and score some decent points in the mean time.

Just amusing myself ... how do you beat a team stacked with midfielders ...
- Well they are like Kelpies IMO ... will always go full bore to get the ball ... what they do with it is a different question ... some want to give it back and go again ... others just say it's now mine and you can't have it back ...
- Might eventually run out of puff ... not always as they will literally die before giving up ...
- Stick to your structures and kick over them ... keep them chasing the ball ....

It's like the AFL equivalent of Spain's tiki taka - a team full of midfielders who eventually aim to dribble the ball into the net because they have no strikers, or in this case, run, chip and handball to 30m out for a shot on goal.
Seriously... 400+ disposals, Macrae with 40 (!) and they only kick 10 goals and still lose :facepalm:
