Think I’ll just avoid them all. Couldn’t really split McLean and Dunkey anyway and still hurting from Libba last year.
Leaning towards this too ... so many midfielders but only one stands out for me ... possibly ... but a long stretch at the moment

- Libba injured early last year didn't really change the scores of MacRae, Dunkley etc
- McLean injured mid year benefited Dunkley ...
- Bont playing forward is a shame as he really should be a mid ...
- So many unknowns in that side .... one good year among a decade of mediocre performances IMO ...

Why not neither! *inserts GIF but can’t be bothered
If not enough good cheap Mid Rookies start Rd1, then I may have to start one of Libba or Miles in the midfield.
Yeah, lots of scenarios at this stage, but I want to be ready if I need a $300K to $400K player in the midfield.
Also, at this stage, I think they could help make enough money for an upgrade to a premium mid and score some decent points in the mean time.

Just amusing myself ... how do you beat a team stacked with midfielders ...

- Well they are like Kelpies IMO ... will always go full bore to get the ball ... what they do with it is a different question ... some want to give it back and go again ... others just say it's now mine and you can't have it back ...
- Might eventually run out of puff ... not always as they will literally die before giving up ...
- Stick to your structures and kick over them ... keep them chasing the ball ....

Macrae is pretty much the only one you can select with any confidence out of them.

Miles finishes the game with 21 possession from 32% game time. That’s what it says on fanfooty. Can anyone verify this?

It's like the AFL equivalent of Spain's tiki taka - a team full of midfielders who eventually aim to dribble the ball into the net because they have no strikers, or in this case, run, chip and handball to 30m out for a shot on goal.

Seriously... 400+ disposals, Macrae with 40 (!) and they only kick 10 goals and still lose

Yeah I think they added the time on from his end of game interview.

But seriously, who knows what goes through Montys website
They take the stats from the AFL website, which had Miles's TOG at 32% at the conclusion of the game and have now updated it to 56%.
