What are your thoughts on Jimmy Webster now that Roberton is out? He scored very well last year when he was given that rebounding half back role, is he likely to get that again?
I don't think so, no. He is going to have to be a bit more accountable with our depleted backline. He was playing loose man early last year and racking up 30 + touches most weeks when he had his hot streak.

Thanks mate, Hopefully there's some upside for your season, starting off with a win against GCS will help confidence.

Not for me. He's never reached 90+ and injury prone. Mundy could go well with more mid time since Neale is gone. He's proven to be durable missing just 6 games in the last 5 seasons and half his career has been 90+. Only concern is his age as he's pushing 34 now.

Thanks for the responses.

The temptation of course is the occasional massive score...the downside is the injuries, suspensions and occasional stinkers!
TKelly v Dunkley v Mclean then?

Beveridge has said McLean's going to be playing in the forwardline more this season and Dunkley is going to play more midfield. I have both Kelly and Dunkley.
Did he say Dunkley will be playing more mid time? he certainly said that due to Libba being fit that Mclean would spend the year forward but I don't recall hearing an increase in midfield minutes for Dunks - can you link it for me.

There was something posted about that a couple of days ago, but I could've sworn there was also something to do with Dunkley wanting to improve as a forward??

I don't trust Beveridge to leave any of Dunkley/McLean/Bont/Libba/Wallis in the same role for an extended period, I'll steer clear for now.

From March 5th on Dunkley

Western Bulldogs midfielder Josh Dunkley has set his sights on kicking more goals this season as he looks to reach the “absolute extreme limits” of his capabilities.

A 2016 premiership player, Dunkley kicked 11 goals from 19 games last year mixing his time between midfield and attack.

While he does not expect a significant change to that mix, the 22-year-old said he was determined to make himself a more dangerous option in the forward line, having “put on a fair bit of size” over the off-season.

@Connoisseur Any chance you can run your magic comb over Mitch Wallis for me mate? I realise I've left this one a bit late so no dramas if you can't get to it. Much appreciated as always.
I have it but I think you'd rather not see it.

Never played more than 20 games in a season. Only recorded 1 game over 25 disposals and only 1 game with more than 10 kicks in 2018. Far too handball happy and doesn't accumulate enough of the ball to be a relevant selection with little to no upside.

M Wallis:
2018:
Disposals: 21.39
SC Avg when disposals equal/exceed 22: 95.7 from 10 (low of 69 and a high of 116, 5/10 below 100)

He's not locked in yet mate ;), these are exactly the sort of stats I wanted to see. Really interesting numbers there, looks to go in the opposite direction of most players with extra tackles, CPs & ToG translating into reduced scoring.

It's coming down to Gray Vs Dunkley Vs Wallis for my final forward and I just can not split them.

Very tough to split both them. R Gray and J Dunkley will be my first fwd upgrade targets along with D Mundy due to sharing that nice RD12 bye. Best case scenario they have the potential to push 110 whereas Wallis would be extremely lucky to even push 100+. Think Gray's the safer choice if you would rather have a look at Dunkley but it's hard to gauge which one will get off to the slower start and hopefully be able to be picked up below 500,000 early.

Yeah I've been struggling with this pick for most of the pre season, I've had Gray+Rocky/Brouch for the greater portion but the jitters have started to set in.

What do you think about Rocky Vs Greene mate? Your stats turn up anything of note?

4 mate. Danger, Heeney, Kelly locked in. The other option I'm considering is going down to Greene, and turning my 400k mid into a Neale/Oliver type.
Prefer that as the alternative. If Greene turns out poor/injury etc then a midpricer downgrade etc could fund Greene to R Gray/J Dunkley or T Greene could be the first upgraded after a rookie has appreciated sufficiently. Who is the current 400,000 mid?
