First trade of the season done. Butters to O'Brien via Setterfield and Bines.

Those who keep Butters expect an 83.

So Setterfield and O'Brien don't play until Sunday so I was leaving my trade until then... somehow slipped my mind that I had to factor Bines in the DPP swap... now I have no way of getting O'Brien in unless I trade Gawn...

I'm such an idiot :ROFLMAO:

I ended up using Bines as a potential VC loophole (Neale) last night while Grundy locked out (E). Today traded Setters to ROB via Bines. So I'm playing him over Grundy's 100. Might lose a few points this week, but I figured it was worth it for the cash gen in the long run.

Think only one trade for me after had a real good look about two trades. First trade will do Sunday as it only involves trading or switching players involved in the Crows v Gold Coast game. Burgess the most likely trade out, Caleb Graham from ruck bench to backline bench where Burgess was and O'Brien into the ruck bench to moo there. Looked seriously into Stack and in a lot of ways I want him but due combination of other rookie mids around plus needing to hold a trade up sleeve for crazy weekend of possible late changes I am not going to do that second trade today that looked like being Tobe Watson to Stack which would need to be done before Fremantle play in early Saturday game.

Setterfield is there to traded if really needs be as back up for any late outs or if Burgess for some reason needs to be shifted forward and Setterfield traded for O'Brien. But at this stage Burgess for O'Brien is the preference. So if for any reasons a second trade is needed it will be done before the O'Brien trade I am committed to bringing in.

I got a little weird on the trade table in the end.

Gawn to Mumford
Bines to ROB

Gawn has looked just a little off to my eye this year. If Mumford can go somewhere close to Gawn’s scoring and I can put the 300k saving to good use then this double move could pay off. Risky as hell but feels fun. Hoping Mummy feasts on Lobb this week

Hi Bermi………..and I would like to know what you decide.
I ended up trading out Westhoff and Butters and traded in Heeney and O'Brien. The main reason was that I wanted my team to score more points each week to win my League games.

I hope you, @Slacker and others made the right choice with Westhoff, it was a tough decision for some.

I shouldn't have traded Marshall in, instantly regretting this now in my haste to move a forward rookie from playing, have a bad feeling now.

I honestly have no idea. Might have to just let ROB slide...
Backflipped on this. Season is shot anyway. Gawn to ROB. If this pays off big time and I win the 50K they will sing songs of my triumph.

Well done to you, it's a tough mental step to cut SC player's like a Westhoff and move on. Good luck (y)

As for me, my decision was somewhat dictated by the number of trades I've used and trying to factor in the opportunity cost of making another trade revolving around just one playing position. So the Hoff went to my forward bench with the 'E' and will now come on in lieu of Balta this round whom I want to keep a tad longer. As I alluded to in another post re Boak, he was the one I considered and nearly upgraded Westhoff to, but I already have another upgrade route for him and wanted to give ROB a crack.
I feel I may have just kicked the can down the road a bit, but, I've also learnt there are situations where it's best to sit on your hands for a while and I pray this is one. Cheers.

For what it's worth I'm thinking similarly on holding Westhoff. While he hasn't been scoring any better than most rookies, at least he's getting a forward rookie (who is typically amongst the worst) off field. I don't think he can stay this bad either, and he has dropped the vast bulk of the cash he is going to in my view. His score yesterday was both underwhelming and his best in a month. I would have liked a larger/quicker bounce back with Marshall in the side but at least it seemed to be a step in the right direction.
