Collins is maxed out so I'd be moving him and Darling on.
Do we even know if Rotham is playing this week? I'd be inclined to go for option 2.
I like option 2 the most.
Daniel's been outstanding this season in terms of SC and is a genuine POD but is anyone worried about his role? The Dogs aren't exactly flying and you'd think, to quote Sam Cooke, a change is gonna come.
FYI I do have a genuine set against players like him because he's a midget so just FYI I'm biased against him. Still, having said all that, if he maintains that role he's probably a good pickup.
Thanks for the responses guys.
Would it change anyone's opinion in the knowledge of the following week if I did to option 1 (Clark and Darling -> Baker and Daniel) that I'd be looking to do Constable and Collins -> Hately and Kelly (via Moore)?
The different approaches to the scenarios and positives and negatives i was looking at is:
Positives
Option 1)
Let Kelly possibly drop in value a little more whilst also avoiding him this week with the possible Hutchings tag and getting him in via Collins the following week.
In this scenario it doesn't seem like a loss waiting one more week on Collins as his BE is only 43 (the same as Clark and appears to be a better scorer than Clark). He is also playing Brisbane who often with their run and gun style blaze into forward 50 a bit too carelessly, opening the door for intercept marks.
Option 2)
Get Kelly in the side now who is likely a top 4 forward and definite keeper all year baring injury in what seems like a certain role for the remainder of the season.
Leaves me with 40k to assess my options next week (will target Hately via Constable or Scott and probably another downgrade unless I can get Clark to Daniel (probably just out of my range with Daniel's BE and only having $400 left if i do option 1).
Negatives:
Option 1)
Only $400 left in the kitty and things can't drastically go astray this week in my plan to be able to get Kelly and Hately via Collins and Constable next week.
Is Daniel a keeper as a top 6-8 forward this year? We don't have a heap of evidence on him and Bevo isn't a stranger to shuffling things around. Can he keep getting 30 touches a week and score consistent 90-105's?
Option 2)
Kelly could face the Hutchings tag this week and cost me important work league matches, he could also break it and go large and win it for me though.
Selling early on Collins who still only has a 43 BE and could go large against Brisbane, whilst Clark appears like he either might not even play this week or play and has less scoring potential than Collins anyway.
Will not have enough to cash to grab Daniel next week. However, may have enough to move Clark to a Worpel if things go right.
The alternative to option 1 is going Worpel over Daniel and then I'll almost certainly have enough cash to execute the Collins to Kelly plan next week.
In the end, weighing all of that up, is it best to go (taking into consideration Kelly possibly tag this week, Collins low BE and good game potential and Daniel/Worpel keeper question-ability):
1) Darling + Collins -> Baker + T.Kelly and Constable + Clark -> Hately + Worpel (the following week)
2) Darling + Clark -> Baker + C.Daniel and Constable + Collins -> Hately + T.Kelly (the following week)
3) Darling + Clark -> Baker + Worpel and Constable + Collins -> Hately + T.Kelly (the following week)
Let me know your thoughts and anyone else if they have an opinion.
Cheers,
