Anybody still trading rockliff in at round 6
I'm not sure, got a decision to make.

Butters > Rocky/Daniel
Parker > Daniel

Walsh, Constable, Butters, (Stack*, Atkins, Scott) but i will take Stack's 72 over Butters this week.
Moore, Drew, Baker, Parker (Setterfield, Balta*).

I think Parker to Daniel helps my forward line more than Butters to Rocky.

Thoughts?

If you think Rocky will be a mid keeper than definitely go with 1. 450k for a 105 average is too cheap to ignore, Daniel will be around that price again as I can’t see him pushing much more than 95 at a max.

I’m still weighing up if Rocky will get to that 105+ mark and whether to trade him in.

Nice side, you are doing well if this is your first time playing SC!

A couple of points that might help:

- I can't see how you can do Clarke to Hayes given they have different positions (defender vs midfielder). You could move Rozee back to defence, but I don't think any of your midfielders can then move forward to fill the gap there?

- Either way, it is considered quite risky to trade a rookie in until they are picked for their third game. It's a week early for Hayes on this basis. As a very recent example, a few people traded in Hately after one good game, but he has now been dropped, so they are left facing a non scoring player and potentially a wasted trade. This is not a great situation, and therefore to be avoided except in extreme circumstances.

On a quick review of your side, I can't see a must do trade this week, so I would err on holding, unless someone suggests something compelling.

At this time of year I prioritise (1) bringing in rookies that should make good cash (those coming into their third game almost exclusively) and then (2) using that cash to bring in players you think will be close to top scorers on their line, but who are not overpriced.

In terms of who to trade out, @IDIG gave a good starting point on this. If you are willing/able to spend $20 on Supercoach Gold (available via the SC site) it is extremely helpful, and makes a lot of the price-related decisions easier.

I will tag @Rowsus, who I suspect may be able to direct you to a good explanation of the pricing system, which is very important/valuable to understand.

Good luck!
Thanks I’ll sit out the week then

So I've missed the Melb/Rich rookies because I thought Rotham would be named. Was happy just to do the single downgrade before the carnage hit last night. Now I'm not sure.
1. Goldy to ROB + Clarke up (563k so anyone, but probably Sicily, bench Duursma)
2. No trades
3. Go early on Hayes (for Scott, makes a few $).
4. Upgrade Clarke to B.Paton (237,400) STK.
5. Downgrade Clarke to N. Answorth - most likely atm

Grateful for any advice and sorry I just didn't baker in the dark!

I’m with @Pieman17. Going Laird myself but may have gone Sicily with a touch more cash. A number of the other paths look risky to me.

As long as his role doesn't change i reckon 105 is very attainable for Rocky.

Burgess is worth looking into trading. He looks like not playing games and his cash generation looks virtually done too. Unless you can use him for a loophole next week he probably could be moved on to someone else to make cash. This week he no good for loopholes, scoring or making cash. Possibly consider trading him for the Gold Coast rookie taking his place. Josh Corbett. But is not a must trade at all. If you looked into it trade Burgess, switch Rozee to where Burgess was and opens up forward bench spot to place Corbett.

Rocky in for me, doesn't normally score well against North so here's hoping he bucks his history.

Hi guys, I need to do an upgrade in defence (Collins) as was holding some cash and need to win a close league match.

Lloyd ($615k) vs Hurn ($560k)? Lloyd seems a no-brainer but saving that extra $55k could make a big difference in a future upgrade. I’d welcome any opinions, thanks!

Current team

Def - Whitfield- laird - B Smith - McGrath - Moore - Duursma ( Clarke - Burgess)

Mid - Neale - Cogs- Sloane - Brayshaw- Libba - Rocky - Walsh - Stack ( Constable- Scott- Butters)

Ruck - Grundy - Goldy ( Sweet)

Fwds - Danger - Tkelly - Fisher - Rozee - Drew - Baker ( Parker - Schultz)

I was thinking of trading out Clarke for W Hayes to grab some cash but open to suggestions I’ve got 171k in the bank and 23 trades left
That’s a really solid looking team and one that does not look out of place in a forum like this, where we take SC very seriously :)

Darkie hit the nail on the head with a lot of points but to offer you a different opinion on going early on Hayes, which is generally big no for most, if you are very confident on Hayes’ job security and scoring potential AND decent depth on that line (which you do) AND have 2 trades in mind for next week, whether they are 2 bubble rookies you don’t want to miss out on or 2 premiums you want to bring in who are about to increase in price, then I’m not completely against it personally.

For my first upgrade next week I think I'll go:
Butters to Hayes
Collins to Sicily

Shouldn't be a problem unless Sicily outscores Collins by about 105 (not impossible)

Thanks for the help - While this is my first year at SC I have taken it seriously ( probably too seriously lol) I think I need to upgrade my kids - Brayshaw particularly can’t seem to get that big score
